I started reading this book with a view of larouche like most people have, that is to say we all look at him as though he were as silly and harmless as a scientologist. Well, turns out the guy isnt just some silly rightist independent or crackpot pseudo economist. Every time he speaks about impending economic collapse its because he's eagerly hoping it will transform the US into 1920S Germany. (he's actually worked towards this goal, encouraging South American countries to default on their debt) Thankfully theres no chance of that happening, but he's still looking forward to it as that impossibility would give him a chance to declare himself dictator, which he's been hoping to do since the 70s.

Reading this book by Dennis King I discovered that Larouche is one of the more cunning and insipid fascist leaders. He has had Jews and blacks in his movement while openly denouncing them. He works this by claiming that any Jew not joining with him in his cruscade against Jews is a Nazi, and that the only true Jews are those working with him against the Nazi Jews to protect the Jews. Did your brain just break? I think thats the effect he hoped for... He's basically put forth in writing some horrific ideas of what life would be like under his government, which is, according to him, the only possible way to save the world from the Jewish conspiracy, Britain, and the Rothschcildes. And the lizard people.

So far my favorite Larouche quote is his double, or maybe triplespeak explanation of freedom: That his government will "not concede freedom to the individual, but demand that he or she partake of it in the general interest of the state." Regarding those who refuse state freedom, they "have no consciously defensible premise to say to their fellows that they have a right to live as free men."
