Yes, it is strange, but I can look back to 1998 today and wish that instead of more Star Wars George Lucas had created something new, which you might argue he did, but I wish it didn't have the Star Wars label. If only to keep the original three detached from it. No doubt out of my connection to those.

New Star Wars Live Action to be a Sitcom

The filmmaker is taking a backseat to Back at the Barnyard's Todd Grimes, who will direct the comedy series for Lucasfilm. Robot Chicken creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich will work as creative consultants on the project, while Brendan Hay of the Daily Show has signed on as head writer. According to a statement from the production company, the show will "look at the saga's characters with a playful and irreverent tone".
