    Rangwe,
Well Said! Well Met! A pleasure to read your post and I would agree on ALL counts (after years on some of the Mac and techie forums I've grown a thick skin - mostly just sit back and chuckle, now)...

Recently reading about GLs affinity for serials, and other movie expereinces from when he was a kid has reinforced the idea that (agreed) ROTJ onward were for kids...

    now for my new post.....

""Notice that 1977 Star Wars is a totally self-contained movie. He didn’t know it would go anywhere but he did have ‘some stuff’ for before and after it.""

I made a post on this forum, titled '1977 Star Wars', which is kind of strange, because we refer to it the same. I suggest you go read my post, you might find it interesting... it's on one the 2nd or 3rd forum page.

    good post -

I did look at some of your old ones- seems you could get off topic now and then

Well, I see your points about Silmarilion...  This is not a typical novel, it reads more like mythology...

But for the person who likes history and mythology, like me, Silmarilion was a great read!  thumbsup.gif

i agree after. say, the first 20 pages...yes, boring and there are better villians, but I really like the illuvatar song stuff - I think it's a nice way to tell the story...
