I hate the EU, it's given Lucas an excuse to not explain things. He probably thinks that those who really care will read the EU, and those who don't really care will never give it any thought, rither way it's lame.

It seems that most of you don't like the litterature written by various writers for, and in, the SW universe.
Why is that?
Personally I HATE Kevin J. Anderson... He is really stupid!
Personally I think many of the EU writers are far better than Lucas. Biowares KOTOR, Timothy Zahn, The alternate OT comicbooks, Dark Empire etc. are superior to anything Lucas has done since ESB. But as you say, then there's Kevin J. Anderson...

But....
The story were Bobba Fett is Jaster Mereel is Written by Daniel Keys Moran not Anderson, and may I mention that it was written way before Lucas's crappy telling of Fett in EpII, and it is Hell of alot better than Lucas's shit. In fact I hold it as the only true telling of Boba Fett that is credible, of course there is another story called "A Barve Like That" which is about how Boba Fett escaped from the Sarlacc Pit, its also pretty good

I agree with the first comment. Anderson is an idiot.

The problem isn't that it's unlikely, it's that it is Boba Fett. It's a novel that is written about Boba Fett. And not even about his past, but a flagrant attempt at ressurecting a dead bit character just to please fan boys. Next they'll be writing about what that other R2 unit that blew up in ANH did after it mysteriously recovered.

You mean the red R5 unit the Jawas try to sell to Owen? You're not gonna believe this JM, but it has already been done. Sort of. In Star Wars Tales (comicbook) the reason the R5 unit blows up is not because it "has a bad motivator". It's because it's really a Jedi Droid. Yep, you heard that right. R5-D4 predicts the future with its Jedi powers and self destructs so Luke will end up with R2-D2, the droid that will guide him to his destiny.
I read somewhere that in the original script C-3PO was suppose to sabotage the R5 unit, and that's the reason it blows up.

Thus we know, exqueeze me, these EU falsities are poodoo, and no such soul should ever think twice about touching their lies...the Great Cannon, of the Episodes 1-6...are the Holiest of Holies...let us pray...
Lord Baron Papanoida, hear our prayers, you sent to us thine Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker, who descendeth into hell, in order to save the galaxy, but thus by his Son was Redeemed and ascended to Jedi Heaven, where he sits at the right hand of Yoda, and Saint Obiwan Kenobi Forever and Ever Amen.
