Batman Begins Review

Saw it last night and I pretty much agree with this review. The stuff that wasn't quite right still did not result in the film becoming a flop, and the stuff that was right was oh so right.

Exactly. But the stuff that was so right made the stuff that wasn't stand out all the more.

My only real question (at least the one my brain won't let go of for the moment) is that if the Joker is already around by the end of the movie, then when exactly did the Red Hood incident at the chemical plant happen? There didn't seem to be any time for it in the middle of everything else going down.

That pretty much sums up my feelings. At long last a good Batman movie.

Saw it last night. for all intents and purposes, except for Jack's performance as the Joker, all traces of the first four films should be forgotten. They finally had a film focus just on Bruce Wayne and Batman and really go into what drives him and made him what he is. The villans were, SURPRISE, secondary characters for once as opposed to the Tim Burton films (where Batman was sometimes third on the character development list/screen time) and Joel Schumacher's embarassing two films.
I look forward to what they are going to do with the next film.

And also when he scares that crime boss (I think it was named Falcone. Damn my memory!)

Blame the movie executives, I do.
Besides, Joker's origins are always pretty debateable, he said it himself in The Killing Joke, "I'm not exactly sure what happened. Sometimes I remember it one way, sometimes another... If I'm going to have a past, it might as well be multiple choice!"
But thats the apolojust's (bah, spelling) answer.

Coincedentally this was the same reaction I had as a young lad after my first alone time with my first girlfriend. As against rating systems for either movies or girlfriends as I am, I would have to give Batman Begins a solid 8.5 out of ten
Pros:
It was called Batman Begins, true to it's word Batman did indeed Begin something. What it was I am not sure, but begin it he did.
At no point in the film did any charachter speak in dyslexic monologue
Katie Holmes
I have a new film to buy on Dvd to add to The Big Lebowski, for those twisted weekends
Cons
What happened? I am pretty well up to date with the entire Batman universe and I am confused?
At one point I am sure I was witnessing a flash back scene in which we are flashed back to a previous scene in which the past was discussed. At one point I also believe the final credits began, sideways, during the middle of the film. I emerged to request my $14 dollars back as I had travelled back in time and reconsidered.
