If there is one character we know never gets any credit it is Chewbacca. We have all seen that the Rebel Alliance, who prided itself welcoming all species to fight against the Empire, couldn't even shell out 50 credits for a medal. Then in return of the Jedi, Chewie gets one of his worst slaps yet. As Luke arrives to bargain for Solo's life he says "You will bring Captain Solo and the wookie to me." WOOKIE! Luke has been friends with Chewie for the past 4 years!!! Chewbacca even gives him a big hug before he leave for the Battle of Hoth. Lukes response is like saying to someone who has two of your BEST friends captured "You will bring Steven and the person to me." I'm sorry for nit picking here, but I can't take it. Hell, even Jabba refers to him as "...the mighty Chewbacca."

Actually, Yoda was pandering.

But you're right about Chewie, who's there in an appreciable, silent sort of way. (unlikum whossum?) even with the Growls. Tarzan screams detract however.

At least we didn't see Chewbacca as an infant; or learn that Chewie's father worked in the old alliance.
Or maybe we did.
I don't care anymore.

Funny.

But actually, I believe that the reason Luke says "the wookie" is he is giving instructions. The people he is telling may know Solo's name but not Chewie. Or maybe I'm wrong. You know, I haven't watched the OT in ages. I only have them for VHS, and I don't have a VHS player.
