I started playing 2 days ago and I've been suffering from dehydration and sleep depravation ever since:
Story is hugley improved over the first one. Kudos for the guy who came up with the storyline.
The new stuff that's been added is not bloated and actually makes for a lot of nice new features.
Much better dialogue & acting.
A few bugs here&there which never appeared on the first version (2 CTD's so far and 2 quests which are stuck&unfinishable)
General impression : wonderfull !

I'll stop here before you think this is a payed comercial.

PS. There is even a point in the story line where a Jedi Master tells you "there is a time when it is important to conceal the truth from some persons bla, bla, bla" and you get the dialogue
1. A lie is a lie, even "from a certain point of view"
2.
..cracks me up.. biggrin.gif
I know that you believe you understood what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant.

There's already a topic about this in the 'Game Room'. I haven't played it, so I can't comment on the gameplay. But I have read quite a lot about the story, and I'm afraid I really don't agree with you - I think it's awful. Still, each to his own...

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Give it a chance Helena. I was very skeptical at first as well, but Obsidian know what they're doing. It rocks. smile.gif

Seriously, I've read a lot of spoilers and only ended up hating it even more. Go ahead and enjoy the game if you like it; there's no need to try and persuade me, and it won't work in any case. I can live without playing KOTOR 2; in fact, I'm much happier that way.

I was wondering how come there isn't a TSL thread already.Mostly I'm lurking arround the SW Forum and I missed the thread in the game forum.

I'm halfway though the game and I'm keeping myself out of the spoilers. If the ending turns out to be nasty, well, then that's it. But based on what has happened so far, I'm pretty much expecting an extraordinary ending. You can really tell Obsidian is a "story-teller". There are some technical bugs.. but the story looks flawless..

I dont mean to spoil anything for you but you will kick the crap out of your xbox when you witness the ending. however the rest of the game is great!

I agree. Though, I've already mentioned this in the other thread, I'll say it again:

I had a LOT of reservations about this game since it was being handled by another company, but I've been pleasantly surprised so far. Everything, as far as gameplay, is extremely reminiscent of the first game and so far the story is extremely interesting. The first level is really dark and mysterious and I'm looking really forward to progressing on.

Things really open up nicely on Telos, lots of interesting side quests.

hmm... Finished the game unsure.gif

I choose to (first) play the light side, and then I'd start back and try a dark side ending (which is pretty much as I did w/ SWKOTOR I). Now I have to say the light side ending doesn't have much sense and it lacks the big punch-finale that the first game had.

There is a breaking point (when you go meet the council) where it feels like someone said : "We need to deliver this game tommorow. Wrap it up and everybody go home." The game ends about as abruptly as an elephant's rear-end. huh.gif

I can't imagine why Helena would hate up the story. It was totaly captivating for me. I just whish someone would have let them finish the story.

Now there is talk of a SWKOTOR III ..which means we will get another: OT , PT, KOTORT.

I was strolling around my local Wal-Mart, and noticed a copy of KOTOR II for PC had been tampered with by some hoodlum.

Basically, the case with the 4 discs was out o fthe box and just sitting there.

Now, it may have been "morally wrong" of me, but I have been wanting to play this game for a while, and I just couldnt help myself. I picked up all four discs and pokceted them very discretely.

Oh well.

I'm having fun with it so far.

I just picked up the Handmaiden and chose to go to Korriban (my fav leevl from KOTOR 1).

The only things I dont like so far:

1) Atton reminds me of Carth. I hated Carth.
2) I still dont have a lightsaber yet.
3) I havent encountered any enemies with force powers yet.
4) Did I mention that I DONT HAVE A LIGHTSABER YET?!?!?!

On the other hand, I do enjoy the character...crap, I forgot his name. But he has the cool hand that busts shields and he's the same race as Darth Maul.

He's pretty cool. cool.gif
