Completely un-edited clip of The Zula Patrol, a science-centered educational program on my local PBS station: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Tlz8upFirXo
Completely un-edited (if rather poor quality) clips of Between the Lions, a reading-centered educational program, which is, as far as I know, nationally broadcast on PBS in the US: http://youtube.com/watch?v=1VQPmu0DKk0 http://youtube.com/w...feature=related
Oh yeah, screw spongebob and Jimmy Neutron, this is where it's at. Growing up with TV shows like these, the next generation of American kids won't even need drugs.

I still catch the occasional Between the Lions
I personally think the quality of both PBS and Nickelodeon has come way down since my childhood. When I was a kid, Sesame Street was the opposite of suck whereas now it is suck, and we had Zoom and Lamb Chop's and Reading Rainbow... And Nickelodeon had Alex Mack and Clarissa Explains It All and Guts and Double Dare and Doug and all sorts of better shows. Now it's all mindless crap with no value.

I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

Nickelodeon's best show, bar none, was the Adventures of Pete and Pete.
I remember nothing about it, however, but its excellence.
New Nickelodeon is pretty terrible, with a few rare exceptions. (Avatar, the first season of Invader Zim, and Wayside is kinda true to the books)
I have to watch some PBS kids now.
EDIT: Italics.

i remember in the 80's Nickelodeon had some very cool shows.
Shows like Double Dare, Fun House, and my favorite....
"You cant do that on Television"
..."whaddya thinks in the burgers?.."..."duhhh...I HEARD THAT!!!!"

Peter Brady was by far the ugliest Brady kid on the "Brady Bunch". I mean, they were all pretty ugly, and the fact that the Brady dad wanted to always take the boys out on overnight camping trips just a tad bit too often, gave me the creeps.

I remember it being very surreal (not a problem on its own), extremely unfunny and full of unlikeable characters.

You're making me nostalgic!
DYSP!
DYSP!
And Orator, I totally agree with you on Avatar - I love that show. Only thing Nickelodeon has going for it right now in my opinion, though.

I would actually watch this.

And this isn't bad either.
Disney is going down the drain, too. Tale Spin, Chip 'n' Dale, Alladin, those shows were awesome; now we're treated to crap like Hannah Montanah.
