Neither, I think.

Hmmm...is this for use by tyranids, or for furry deathwatch teams?

Um...IIRC, shotguns are the ones that fire shot, and flamethrowers are the ones that throw flame.

Just an unfunny joke about some guy Chris was supposed to kill, in the C&T comic.
But I'm not referring to the comic, but it's an idea I had about what will it be like if there is an orgy of different cults from different nations, fighting over something, with Chris and Trilby in between.
The submachine gun that shoots wooden sticks is the weapon the Romanian cult uses, since they themselve, also take orders from another god from the ethereal realm. Each cult would bring in their own form of monstrosoty from the world beyond. The Romanians for example, opened portals to bring in these blood sucking creatures that look like insects in which the only way to kill them is with wood, their most well known weakness.
Sounds cheesy? Don't tell me.
I'm not really a fursist, but then again, I don't have furry friends to prove it. It's just an idea of secret/bonus weapon I had in mind. Cuddly+violence=taking the piss.
Forgot to mention that secondary fire shoots oil and primary fire ignites it. Sort of like the gas can+lighter combination. Just bigger.

Ah...so this is a seperate weapon stuck on, like M203 underbarrel grenade launcher? Why ignite it with the primary weapon, why not have a small flamethrower attached to the gun, like the Exterminator from 40k, used by Necromundan Redemptionists?
Oh...about the double barrelled pump action shotgun...what's the point? Is it so you have twice the ammo capacity, in which case you could have a magazine fed one, or is it to have twice the firepower? If you want more firepower, why not have a MSGL using something like M576 Buckshot?

Yeah. The weapons which Chris uses are mostly pieces of junk he put together or excisting wepons in which he modified. This one (I don't know what to call it yet), is more of a tactical weapons unlike the other two shotguns which are used mainly for [sarcasm]defence[/sarcasm]. It's more like an automatic scattergun that uses 20 gauge (yellow cartridges to avoid confusion) shells. It has a wide spread and deals little damage unless you're in close range, which makes it unreliable. It's advantage is that it a fire starter. Spread some oil on a surface or on someone and then ignite. You can also set traps for incoming enemies aswell.
Oh, yes, about that. I've also noticed that it would be rather pointless, since there is already a double barrel shotgun which can be converted into a 4 bore/Nitro express and a long range shotgun. However, ammo conservation is a major part of the gun play as certain types of ammo become scarce.
Let me begin with what the double barrel shotgun(s) can do before I move onto the pump-action DBS; Matilda and her sister are two modified DBSs that can act as close range and long range shotguns other than big game weapons. This can be achived by replacing barrels. It depends on what kind of situation you're in.
There is a short barrel for short range shots, a long barrel for long range and the wide barrels for the big game rounds which are very hard to find.
It can use two types of ammo; the standard 12 Guage and .700 Nitros.
The shotguns can only be akimboed when the short barrels are fitted. Players can choose weather they would want to go single or akimbo with the 'fire mode' button, default 'V'. Pretty much every wepon in the game has one or multiple different firing modes.
The Pump-action DBS however has different types of ammunition; not only can it use the 12 guage (red) and the 20 guage (yellow), but it can also fire deer slugs (green), which makes a good corridor gun and a double barrel rifle aswell. It's spread differs from his other two cousins.
Maybe I should add a little variety by replacing that scattergun with a circular saw+flamethrower+grenade launcher.

I even tried writing dialogue at my free time. On my first try, I complete lost the characters. On second try I got it right, but there wasn't much distinction in their voice. So, I made these templates about every character so that I don't get em' missed up. Trilby for example, is sharp, analytical and quick. Chris is sarcastic, pessimistic, good natured (to a certain extent) and delluded. Both are three dimentional, unlike others who stay there to serve the plot and characters (ie female characters). I mean, who cares about female characters anyway? Shorter skirt, more personality.
Wow, life is so simple. Innit?

Another one of those story boards. On is about a boss fight and the other one is about Trilby and Chris getting seperated, along with a new character being introduced.
I put down the first thing that came to my mind. Having a boss fight on a single roof top is boring, it's better to have MORE! You got quick saves and autosaves these days.
Why did Chris not die, you say? Well, dying is getting old these days, so they ressurect:
A very ugly scetch of a beautiful energy weapon I had in mind. Don't know what to call it. 'Brunswick'; yeah, that sounds good. Or maybe I'll call 'The Baseball Cap'. Hehe.
The other one is a rocket launcher. Loads up like a grenade launcher. Pretty streight forward.
A circular saw with a grappling hook which can be used to pull an enemy to you and vice versa in case they're too heavy.
Since this is getting boring, I'll write a comic strip involving Trilby, Chris and 1213.

I'm still playing it. Just got back on the ship. Interesting characters. I'm impressed, but I can't comment since I haven't finished it yet. 1213 on the other hand, I have.
PS: The joke is gonna be rather obvious.
