Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.

Having once been misguided enough to write a book report on it (not because I was a nazi, but because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about), I'd say it's worth reading with a semi-open mind. It does help you understand Hitlers logic behind the war, and is good for the analysis of modern propaganda.
However, don't take it seriously, and don't read it in public.

I thought that it was the most boring book I ever read. It just drags on and on. I had to finish it for school, that's why I even bothered.

I used to love that when I was in middle school. I'd get all competitive about it and check out nothing but designated books, then build up all my points to try and win little prizes and beat everyone else. What those prizes were, I have no idea anymore, but I was still ridiculously competitive anyway.
EDIT: Two pages in forty-five minutes?! Dear god that must be painful to endure! I remember getting pissed off by kids like that when I was in elementary school! If I had been stuck around people like that in high school I would have probably ended up bashing their heads in!
Literacy is something to be cherished.
ADDITIONAL: I found a copy of Better Than Life in a second-hand bookstore today. Wootage!

I too was extremely comppetitive with it in elementary school. I remember that I got 250 points one year, and was only beaten by a super-smart girl that got 300. Grrrrr.....
Edit: Oh yes, I couldn't get pissed of at them for taking so long, cause I was asleep!
