Looks like there's going to be a line. Fair enough.

(I hope not. I hate message movies... Unless it's that path to 9-11 miniseries that got edited because the message was too telling. )
This is a big day. Anyone can say it's going to suck. I'm claiming the high ground.

if i remember correctly, Homer used his gut as a weapon, Marge had a vacuum, Bart used his skateboard, and for the life of me i cant remember if lisa or maggie was the fourth player..i think it was lisa, and i forget what her weapon was.
it seems like you had to save maggie.
that was a kick ass game when you had all 4 peeps playing..the game engine was a lot like the teenage mutant turtles game arcade game.
i used to always be bart..wow,.the memories. i sure wish some game company would make that game into a home conversion for one of todays systems.
Shit, Fuck, Piss: I had to say that because I can on this website. (Thanks Chef!)

Turtles in Time was also great; there's an SNES version of it.
You could probably find an emulator version of The Simpsons for a MAME cabinet or something.
Edit: Nope, I was wrong. Lisa also apparently uses a jump rope in the game. A sax would have made much more sense, but oh well.

If ever there was a movie that was worth the wait, that didn't disappoint, this was it.
This movie was better than I expected, much better. I actually enjoyed this, it wasn't just the fanboy rush like I got when I saw [i]The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy[\i], this was actually a good movie.
I strongly recommend.
-John Carpenter's They Live
"God help us...in the future."
-Plan 9 from Outer Space

I do plan on going to see it in theatres, but I'm not going to do so until a couple of weeks from now when the lines have died off.
As far as the arcade game goes:
I seem to recall playing it on a friend's computer when I was in grade school. A home version does exist, and I am relatively certain that you can find ROMs that work with emulators.

I saw it today. It was pretty good. I am pleased and completely stunned that they pulled it off. I too have professed hatred of the show for the past x amount of years over five, and I laughed. Genuine laughter. The jokes were actually funny and not just Homer getting beat up in the trailer. Some of them actually made sure that you were on your toes to catch them. If any of you are disappointed in the film after watching it, you can yell at me.
Despondent, I am happy that your wacky idealism was not misplaced. It's good to be wrong sometimes.
Edit: I missed one crucial word and its article that elaborated exponentially on one of my ideas.
