Of course R2D2 is the winner, GL has actually stated that HE is the one telling the story (I'm not joking). So how could he tell the story if he didn't live it?
[Qoute] it's not me using a double standard, it's you using a half-standard.
(that should be in someone's signature) [/Qoute]
As you command, Lord Barend.

Do we have a vote for "the Force"?
is the OT Force as different from the PT Force as
Vader is from Annie?
Yes.is the OT Force as different from the PT Force as
Vader is from Annie?
OT: The Force is a mystic energy field that surrounds us and penetrates us. It is in all things. Without exception.
PT: The Force is little insects in your bloodstream. Only a Sith deals in absolutes.

I dream of a better tomorrow... a tomorrow where chickens can cross roads and not have their motives questioned.

I wouldn't call "the Force" a character per se. It is more of a give and take kind of thing with a few personified qualities.
I really hate to argue about something that I think is total crap, but calling them "little insects" is wrong. (Sadly) Midichlorians allow a living being to "sigh" tap into the force in proportion to how many have chosen to reside in you (which is by the way total bull). These are just used as a slipshod plot device used to prove that Anakin would be the most powerful jedi ever (Which it turns out he wasn't). Just cause ya know, nobody could detect a friggin "great disturbance in the Force". And why not, the disturbances aren't always bad. The Emperor could detect Luke across the galaxy. Qui-gon was standing right next to Anakin. How much non-effort do you think it would take for him to figure out Anakin was strong in the force.

Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.
"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto
Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

But to me Anakin and Vader are two different persons. It's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. They are the same entity but they are two DIFFERENT characters.
I couldn't disagree with you more. I rarely stumble in here, but sometimes I run out of people to push.
Annie has a very interesting character arc, poorly executed one, but a good one all the same. He goes from little confused boy, to an ambitious jedi that is trying to find out what the hell he's supposed to be doing. This makes him an ideal target for good ol' Palps. He leads him down the darkside, abusing his friendship with him and twisting his mind around, making him give up and lose everything he really cares for, the twins and Padmé. Then in the Reven... I mean Return of the Jedi he sees the Emperor frying Luke, just like Mace Windu where his mind goes off.
Fuck, I killed my wife, my mentor and closest thing I got to a brother and now I'm going to lose my children by being Palpy's attack dog?
He's propably in his fifties by then and has never been his own man. At that moment he decides to rebel and FINALLY becomes an adult and a man. That's why Obi and Anakin are on good terms as ghosts, he's just so damn proud of his little padawan finally becoming a man.
