Authoritarian: 1 to 10 (1 = Democratic, 10 = Authoritarian)
Rightwing: 1 to 10 (1 = Leftwing, 10 = Rightwing)
Closed Society: 1 to 10 (1 = Open Society, 10 = Closed Society)
Controlled Economy: 1 to 10 (1 = Free Market, 10 = Controlled Economy)
Paid Army: 1 to 10 (1 = Draft, 10 = Paid)
War Hawks: 1 to 10 (1 = Dove Lobby, 10 = War Hawks)
Interventionism: 1 to 10 (1 = Isolationism, 10 = Interventionism)
The effect your choices make are as follows:
Authoritarian: 1 = -50% of Rioting, 10 = -50% of Protesting.
Rightwing: This has no (immediate) effect.
Closed Society: 1 = -50% of Rioting, 10 = -50% of Protesting.
Controlled Economy: 1 = -50% Industrial Production and +50% Money Production, 10 = +50% Industrial Production and -50% Money Production
Paid Army: 1 = +50% Recruitment and -50% Morale, 10 = -50% Recruitment and +50% Morale
War Hawks: 1 = -50% Recruitment and +50% Industrial Production, +50% Recruitment and -50% Industrial Production
Interventionism: 1 = +50% Industrial Production and -50% Money Production, 10 = -50% Industrial Production and +50% Money Production
Then I will roll a 6 sided dice to determine what country you will have; the major things I will be rolling for is:
How large the country is: In square kilometres (1= 10, 6 = 60)
Population density: Per square kilometre (1= 1000, 6 = 6000)
Size of countries armed forces: % of population in the armed forces (1= 5%, 10 = 30%)
Rules and regulations:
1. An event will occur every turn which will be determined by the roll of the dice. The effect of your decision, the government policies you have already picked and the roll of the dice will determine what course the event will take.
2. If you need to chat then use “<>” after you have stated what you wish to do for your turn.
3. During your turn you may wish to include your own event such as changing your government policies, introducing new laws or interacting with another country. Whatever you decide will be determined as a normal event.
4. You must pick a name for your country, the name of the main ethnic group and the currency. (Note: more then one person can pick the same ethnic group and currency)
5. I may wish to add a rule at any time during the game so pay attention.

Could you reorganize these rules?
Stage One
Pick a name for your country.
Pick a name for the ethnic identity of your people.
Pick your currency.
Stage Two
Give a number from 1 to 10 for the following:
Authoritarian:
Rightwing:
Closed Society:
Controlled Economy:
Paid Army:
War Hawks:
Interventionism:
(if you don’t understand what they are then just put a random number)
After That
I will determine everything else and your turn will start.

Size: 50 square kilometres
Population: 300,000
Army size: 15%
Event
You sit cheerfully in your office knowing that nothing can get you out of office because of your tight grip on the media when your head of intelligence comes storming into your office and handing you a document. The document reads: the senior cabinet members are disenchanted by your term in office and some might be planning a coup. What do you do?

They are taken in by your benevolence and agree to support you if you increase their (already inflated) pay checks.

When the guards run into the room they shoot everyone while you cower under your desk. The rest of the cabinet has been arrested pending investigation into corruption and mistreatment of the economy. As a result you declare war on the last independent media outlets. You have tightened your grip on the country and as a result some student groups have gone underground and become terrorist cells.

The leaders of the student groups become suspicious of those around them but do not take any serious measures to get rid of those who they are suspicious of.
Event
Your head of intelligence (who has also been appointed head of security) walks into your office and ask if the nation should take a less democratic approach towards the opposition by banning freedom of speech and nationalizing all forms of media; then creating hit squads and government militias to deal with enemies within the civilian population.

Since he is the head of security; the guards that are loyal to him break him out of prison the night before his execution and he starts gathering support to overthrow your leadership. Your popularity has dropped tremendously and the former head of intelligence who shall be called Oleg for the sake of convenience has took advantage of this unpopularity.

The student heads did not join nor do they wish to join you under any circumstance. Though you do send in the Loyalist forces (your forces) to combat the Rebel forces (Oleg’s forces) and the Rebel forces get routed.
