All the games I've played were medicine, I can't get into the bridge, and don't know why I would be able to
I thought it was the only career path who could access the bridge because I could find all 5 job clocks for the military and engineering career paths while I could only find 4 job clocks for the medecine career path. I thought the fifth job clock was located on the bridge but apparently not.
Thanks for the tip, Katsuargi!

Well, those who major in Medicine DO get access to the bridge at one point, but it's not the highest rank if I recall correctly. I only completed it with a scientist chick with no morals, hacking everything that had bolts in it, and taking all the drugs she could find, and I remember being sent to the bridge to work at one point (toward the end).

Blueskirt, the rank below Ship Physician, Science Officer, has its job clocker on the bridge. I could still get into it when I was promoted, though. Has anyone else reached Commander/Lt Commander rank in one of the other professions and tried to get onto the bridge?
Also, any advice on how to get a medal? Aside from handing papers to the captain like Katsuargi said, does having maxed-out stats in everything guarantee that you'll get one on the missions?

That's odd, I couldn't.
As for the medals: in the first mission, for instance, you can free the rest of the prisoners if your morals are high enough, and you get a medal for that.
By the way, is it possible to actually die in any of the away missions?

Not as far as I could tell.
The first mission requires decent stats (I think) and good morals.
Note: Make SURE to have your modifier stats (fitness, cleanness, ect) up before going on a mission. A shower made the difference between me passing and failing the second mission.
2nd mission Requires good Charisma and intelligence. Not sure how morals play on this one. Mine was maxed at the time though.
The last mission is a bit of a pain, all my stats were maxed and I still messed it up the first 2-3 times, and only got a partial complete the 4th-5th.
Anyways, you need to have Medium morals. High morals and you'll skip it all together, low morals and you wont act heroically later.
You also need, as far as I can tell, near Max Intelligence and strength (I think. The screen glitched and didn't show me what was happening so I couldn't actually tell what was going on) Not sure if there's a charisma requirement, but by this mission all your stats should be maxed anyways.
Anyways, that nets you the 4th medal.
The 3rd, for the Doreen thing, is a pain if you've made it to this point. If your intelligence and Knowledge are maxed, its impossible to fail at hacking, which means you need to neglect Knowledge for a long time in order to drop it low enough to fail.
What I did was went to bed, slept until I needed food, ate, went back to bed, and waited for it to hit about half way.
This messed up my relationships, fitness, ect, but at this point I was a top level Job with all the money in the world, so all it took was rolling in to lunch hour with a dump truck full of presents to dump on the peons to fix it.
I mean, seriously, if I could make anyone fall for me by hosing them down in 3tonns of deodorant, there would be a lot of women running around smelling like french whores.
I digress.
1. Bed until your stupid again.
2. Have Low/Medium morals.
3. Go botch hacking without enough money to pay for it.
4. Go get the papers from the library. (always wondered why she went there)
5. Give them to the captain. (Hint: He eats lunch at 12:00 every day)
6. Enjoy you medal.
7. Flip on the TV in your room, use the computer and bike to fix your messed up stats.
8. Go work a few days to save up money.
9. Go by a crap ton of gifts, force chocolate down peoples throat until their shit smells sweet, drown others in deodorant, and finally bring so many flowers with you that the lunch room becomes a Green Earthies wet dream.
10. Max Stats, best job, everyone loves you, and absolutely no point to your life for the next month and a half. Twiddle your thumbs and wait it out or slide in step 6.5: "Get thrown in prison until there's just 10 days left" and then follow the rest of them with the remaining 10 days to repair everything before the end.

It's not a glitch, it's just the way it is, kinda like this mansion cutscene in Monkey Island 1, where you can't see the whole thing because it happen behind a wall, but you can imagine what's going on with the sound effects, reading the what the characters say, and seeing the GUI writes tons of crazy actions.

You must have this all in a log, skirt, because I can't bloody remember what Yahtzee said in the chatroom. Except when he was gleefully dripfeeding us with hints about his next AGS game, and everyone was allowed one question each. I'm assuming the game he was referring to that day eventually turned out to be Art of Theft.
