The point is that these people (trolls) are disruptive and inconsiderate. If a community at large has a different viewpoint then yours then avoid it. You aren't going to convince atheists to believe in God, religious communities to become atheists, KKK members to open their mind to other cultures or PT haters to love the movies. I think engaging in healthy debate can be fun but the whole, "You're a moron, this rules/sucks!" approach doesn't get anyone anywhere.
