There are Four books:
1. The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy
2. The Restauront at the End of the Universe
3. Life, the Universe, and Everything
4. Mostly Harmless (I think)

Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.

I know. But I can't find the book in any library of my city. Damn it, I have never seen a bookstore selling the hitchiker's guide!
Damn it!
And ion, I didn't care about the movie too. (Mainly because I had never heard anything about the series.) But then I watched the movie and I loved it. You must watch it.

It was even worse than I imagined it. This is mainly because: a) the jokes they made up are almost always not funny; b ) the jokes they modified turn lousy; c) the modifications and/or new stuff in the plot is just poorly glued together; d) they omit lots of good parts of the book.
And mainly, it's a completely boring and vulgar hollywood-esque movie. Bah.
Glad I saved my ticket money and saw it first (and last) in divx.
EDIT: The "b )" in the list comes up as a cool dark-glassed smiley... heh.

book 4 is called "so long and thanks for all the fish"
'mostly harmless' came many years later...
i think there was also 'the meaning of lif'
(yes, lif not life... not a spelling error)

I think this movie needs a proper grilling. I'll gladly do it if no one else volunteers. Maybe it has been done to death, but so has Temple of Doom. And I don't think it's been grilled well enough.
Any volunteers to rip this film to shreds like any red-blooded [insert nationality] Douglas Adams loving person should?

the movie truly is the worst film ever, for having, as I've said before, failed so miserabley with such superior source material.
all punchlines no fucking build up.
