Attention to all the DS owners! Mario Kart DS is out and it's arguably the best Mario Kart game to date. It returns to the original formula of using just 1 character per kart. It also includes the new Mission Mode and the ability to play with anyone in the world using the DS Wi-Fi connection. It also has cool new tracks and some good form the past games.

Now, I think MK is the best racing franchise. Does somebody els agree with me?

The new one sucks in multiplayer since you can't drag the items behind you like you could in the N64 version, and multiplayer's easily the best part of MarioKart, even though the bots are always great.

If you can handle having only singleplayer, then buy it. It's got good new tracks and brings back some of the better ones from past games.

You actually can drag the items behind you, Floppy. I know it because I play multiplayer with my friends at school.

Well, I only got to play it at my friend's house, but he and the gaming magazines that I read all said that you can't drag it behind you...

Bananas are quite useful to experienced players.

You can put the item behind you just press L and down. Then leave L pressed to drag it.

been playing it a lot. the bots are too easy on battle mode but wi fi is great.

i'm game. The problem might be figuring out time differences though so we'll be able to get on at the same time. but i'm sure we could do it. I'm in Japan now, where abouts in the US are you?

ignore that last noobilific friend code comment, I figured it out.

"snaking" in the game is getting annoying. Nintendo need to introduce the option to remove the power boost for online play.
