I thought that 3P0's POV was a very odd choice for filming that scene--first off, the scene is annoying with Jake Lloyd and seems unnecessary, but I digress: I can not think of any other scene in the previous SW movies where this sort of POV is used... anyone? This really pulled me out of the film and just didn't work. I just wish Lucas would've used all of his "experiments" for post-Prequel films rather than for these.
Lucas has done it before where he has an idea and then saves it for later. I wish he had done this for Jar Jar and the arena scene. He could've made a non-Star Wars, but still SF film where Jar Jar is the main character and it could've been exclusively done for kids (which is the point of Jar Jar, right?). Again, this is where a good producer like Kurtz could've come in handy....
Jariten`s challenge try it you might like it

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"
All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

Maybe they could add the Vader/Luke removes helmet scene, seen from Anikan's eyes.
Jariten, I found a couple more scenes I actually enjoyed.
Jar-Jar stomps a battle droid to “death.” The battle droid attaches to JJ’s foot. JJ tries to shake BD loose, and BD fires random blaster shots at other BD’s, not JJ (pity.) It was so stupid that it was funny.
The younger Obi-wan didn’t suck as much, IMO
DM body falling apart during the fall was cool.
Qui-gon at deathbed “he is the chosen one” and there’s Gershwin music? Way to lighten things up.
Obi-wan gets confirmed a Jedi knight in a cool palace, not the glitzy holy ground of the Jedi Council. However, Yoda did look awful in the film as others have noted.
The Ending. Not the parade, the crystal ball or the ponytail. Just the fact it was over, I liked that.

I'm trying really, really hard, Jariten, I really am. I think I need to think about it more, but nothing comes to mind. It's all so tainted now. I'll be honest, though and say there are worse movies than TPM. Is that good enough?
I'll continue to think on it, but... I'm not too hopeful anymore. I've really lost my taste for SW. Old or new.
EDIT:
no, moments from the podrace are ok.
Oh, okay... I thought of one...I actually like the Tusken raiders shooting at the pods. To me this really seems like something in their make-up to do this, so it doesn't deviate at all from the ones I know in ANH. I also like the pod (sorry, can't remember racer's name) which rolls into a ball and spins away. It feels very real to me. I think I've said that between AOTC and TPM, TPM's CGI is more "real" (Save for Jar Jar).
