Cocaine Energy Drink

Yeah, that's right. They did a great segment on The Daily Show last night about this yesterday. It's an energy drink called "cocaine" and it's coming mid december. I can't wait to get my hands on some of this to review for The Extinct Beverage Museum.
This one may be a little tough to get as it's being protested wildly, particularly in New York City.

Yeah, I heard about that. I think the guy's brilliant, really - he's getting so much free publicity because he named his drink after a big bad drug. So many people want to buy this drink because of it. I figure he'll finally feel he's gotten enough free publicity, tons of people are already buying it, and he'll either change the name to appease the naysayers to something a little less controversial (while everyone still buys the drink to see what the big deal was), or he'll just keep the name and bask in the publicity and all that money he's getting from people who think they're really clever to be drinking an energy drink named "cocaine." He's brilliant, but god, do I hate it.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

So they're basically trying to sell the original Coca Cola this time? Man, I sure would like to taste some of that.

Haa haa! That's what I thought this was at first.

Eventually someone is gonna
come out of the shadows and claim
to own the rights to the 'Cocaine' name.
And a huge legal battle will ensue.
If not they'll at least ask him to shorten the name
and that will cause a problem with the Coca-Cola people.
Or he could change it completely.
Just like that band anthrax,
after all those scares in business offices after 9/11.
Unfortuantley the only names i can come up with to
help are Ice and Meth in the head.
Not really original but whatevs

Great, a soft drink that ruins your nostrils, gives you a truly horrible aftertaste, and still doesn't do anything a stiff cup of coffee coudn't much less pretentiously. Wonderful.
When you lose your calm, you feed your anger.

Ways they could be more moronic:
q: what famous song could they get for their advertisements?
a: Cocaine, by Eric Clapton.
q: what terminology should they use for consuming their product (slim jim : snap in to a :: cocaine : ?)
a: overdose! How about, "Cocaine: a fatal overdose...OF ENERGY!"
q: cartoon mascot?
a: a humorous cartoon caricature of pablo escovar!

As much as I think anything to do with Mike Tyson is totally played-out, I have to say that someone in Google News's picture algorithm department deserves kudos.
I have yet to hear of his cocaine-based arrest was for being under the influence of the illegal narcotic, or if it was because of this energy drink!

He wishes it was the energy drink!!!!
Then maybe his name might still carry some credibility.
Though the chances of that are very slim.
But the energy drink would be an execellent
scapgoat for those who still have a chance
