Might I remind you all that this is the same guy who turned down an offer to duel with Saddam Hussein which Saddam put forth to avoid the Iraq war. I assert that Hussein could have PWNed Bush and would have loved to see it. Bush is brave when he's sending American high school kids to die, but he'll never endanger himself, cuz money and power are worthless if you're dead.
And I would add Lincoln to the list of hard core presidents. Clinton I'd want to have at a party, but Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and Grant I'd want with me in a street brawl. Oh how I wish Nintendo would make a presidential/historical figure fighting game. It would excuse excessive violence by appearing to teach... something.

didn't he? ...didn't he??
Two wheels no wider than one inch, and any slippery surface presents a problem.
yeah, but this guy's ment to be able to fly an F-15.
i've only had too bike accidents, once in a snake pit when something came loose and the handlebars stopped controlling the front wheel, when i hit the summit of the central hump, and the other time a car ran me into a parked truck...
the fact of the matter is... this guy can't talk, or ride a bike, or send troops to the right place...
and he keeps doing these things in public...
he has a reputation, if someone else did it, it wouldn't be funny.... it's not because we don't like him, it's because he's a dork.

Mr Bush's spokesman Ari Fleischer rejected the idea saying, "there can be no serious response to an irresponsible statement like that".

It doesn't get any more civilised than that.
It hardly shows a President willing to embrace traditional values if he's afraid to settle things the old-fashioned way... If you assume the war was the duel then there were a lot of champions appointed.

an email i recieved a while back....
Example of a Tragedy
President Bush was visiting a primary school. One of the classes was in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meaning. The teacher asked the president if he would like to lead the discussion on the word "tragedy." So the illustrious leader asked the class for an example of a tragedy.
Little Jimmy stood up and offered, "If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs him over and kills him, that would be a tragedy.
"No", said Bush, "that would be an accident."
Little Suzie raised her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy."
"I'm afraid not." explained the president. "That's what we would call a great loss." The room went silent.
No other children volunteered.
Bush searched the room. "Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of tragedy?"
Finally at the back of the room little Johnny raised his hand.
In a quiet voice he said: "If Air Force One carrying Mr. and Mrs. Bush was struck by a "friendly fire" missile and blown to smithereens, that would be a tragedy."
"Fantastic!" exclaimed Bush. "That's right. And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?"
"Well," says little Johnny, "it has to be a tragedy, because it certainly wouldn't be a great loss and it probably wouldn't be an accident either."

i forgot about it until just then.

Not that I am in any way a supporter or advocate of Bush, but the last lines of the article also make a statement:
Mr Fleischer poured scorn on the proposal saying:
"In the past when Iraq had disputes, it invaded its neighbours. There were no duels; there were invasions. There was use of weapons of mass destruction and military. That's how Iraq settles its disputes."
I really cant see old Saddam signing on for a Duel at the request of Kuwait's officals when he was stepping up to invade. As funny as it is (and I laughed quite a bit at the thought of this jackass waling into an old fashioned gunfight), it's absurd to say that George should have signed on for a duel in a situation where he knew he had the upper hand when we all know that the same would have been the result had the offer been made by Kuwait before their invasion.

I cannot imagine anything dummer than this...
Millions of dollars spent on White House security, and you almost lose the president to a pretzel... it's a scarry thing.
Secret Service Agent (crying): "Mr. President, please, put down the biskit !!"
What I find really sad though, if this was indeed a tragical accident and Bush would have passed away check this list out:
1841 William Harrison - Dies of pneumonia
1850 Zachary Taylor - Dies of heat exhaustion
1864 Abraham Lincoln - Assasinated
1881 James Garfield - Assasinated
1901 William McKinley - Assasinated
1923 Warren Harding - Died of a Heart Attack
1945 Franklin D. Roosevelt - Died of cerebral hemorrhage
1963 John F Kennedy - Assasinated
2002 George W Bush - choked on a pretzel
Makes you feel a bit out of this world, doesn't it ? Like you've left reality a few good years ago.

The other difference is that the invasion of Kuwait, before the UN came in, was fairly tame as far as wars go. It was more just an organized bit of looting than a drag em out fuck shit up invasion. The war in Iraq though is shaping up to be the next Vietnam, and I would certainly have liked to have Bush and Saddam both kill eachother rather than see so many civilian casualties.

And I'm not so much pissed off that he's crashed on his bike again, but that it's made news. The only reason it's mentioned is because Dubya did it. Fucking celebrity based news.
Africa is rotting from national debt, people are poor and starving in the US, and we hear that Bush hit a policeman on his damned bike...
