X-Men Origins: Wolverine What did I just watch?!

This movie was fun, that's all. I didn't expect much from it except to see Hugh Jackman go nuts and yell. That's all I really watched it for. It's Wolverine, not much to it.
Now when the "Magneto" film comes out, I'm going to take it a bit more seriously because his character develops into a more mature themed anti-hero/villain that deals with more human/mutant cultural issues. I'm not looking for a documentary of MLK Jr. or Malcolm X here, just a more adult themed view on the X-men.
If the Magneto film gives a bunch of campy one-liners and silly, off-the-wall action scenes, then it is deserving of a jolly, hate filled, rippin'.
"Wolverine" however is more for the kids that just want to see Wolverine and other characters act wild and appeal to their imaginations. Face it, this film is a 90 minute commercial to sell toys.

guys looking up and yelling into craning cameras (I remember 5 of these),
Yeah, you're lucky to pull of one without it being cheesy in a film, but I remember about 5 too. It was just retarded. The first one happens less than 5 minutes from the start.
The part of the story I was most interested in was wolverine living history and this was done as an opening montage, so that was over quick.
and what the hell did they do to Deadpool?

I finally got to see this movie too.
Heavy use of cliches, like Mr. #2 already said, but who cares, I wasn't really expecting the culmination of storytelling anyway. Wolverine's background turned out to be pretty boring. Jackman's general portrayal of his character made up for it a bit, but the movie still focused too much on his violent trait instead of dealing more with his soul's grievances... bringing Kayla Silverfox in didn't really help there either.
Still, nice action flick. I was a bit disappointed about Deadpool's role in it... he's not as widely known as Wolverine, they should have focused a bit more on him in this movie to prepare the masses for his own episode.
And I'll have to re-watch the first X-Men movie to see how Sabretooth and Wolverine react towards each other in that one, I can't seem to remember right now, but I smell some problems with continuity arising there...
Oh, oh right - the fuck was Gambit doing in there? He had the potential to be a really awesome character in the movies, but they sort of ruined that with the weak portrayal in this one already. Shuffling cards around, being generally useless and then only used as a helping hand when a piece of debris crashes down that couldn't have silenced Wolverine anyway - what was the point in that? He's supposed to be the one with the hypnotic charm - couldn't they have given him the right poses and scenes to scream "Greatness" into the audience's face?

Oh dear....I quite liked X-men 3.
Anyway, Origins was good, would watch it again if it was on TV but it wasn't earth shatteringly amazing to the point of making me bow down in worship. I'd like to see some more on night crawler or mystique because they were pretty awesome characters. Aside from that I still think that the X-men films are the best marvel adaptations (aside from Iron man because...well I am only human).

Oh Sainty
Although you enjoyed Origins (and why wouldn't you?)
im afraid your opinion in this matter is forfeit
now please, just hear me out
because you like X3 which, is a clear indicator of insanity,
for the safety of yourself and others you should be institutionalized
However I will say this . . .
you do have redeeming qualities, i.e. Iron Man
so your stay in the ward maybe a short one
good luck

I don't know about you but I have never advocated that homosexuals, for any reason, be cut out of their mother's womb and thrown into a bin.
