I'm sorry if this is old news, but renowned British novelist Sebastian Faulks has been revealed to be the author of the new James Bond continuation novel, Devil May Care.
Picking up from where The Man with the Golden Gun left off, the novel features James Bond on another grand adventure, bedding women while still torn with guilt over his status as a widower, all in the name of Her Majesty's Secret Service.
So, any thoughts on this news? Reactions?

All right; since no one's said anything, I guess I might as well...
Well, I, for one, am thrilled to see a properly-licenced, quality Bond novel come out. It's not every day that one of England's finest literary creations gets brought back in style, and by one of the UK's best novelists, no less.

Look, Bond, people love the Bond franchise, but I'm not surprised there isn't a huge response on a Star Wars (essentially) forum to what is basically glorified fan fiction.
"I've come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubble gum."
-John Carpenter's They Live
"God help us...in the future."
-Plan 9 from Outer Space

Well, essentially, it's perfectly licenced and all. Also, it's not taking place in the modern world; it's James Bond back in his element, taking place right after his little run-in with Scaramanga. Let's not forget, as well, that it's by one of the UK's premier novelists, Sebastian Faulks.
I'm hoping they'll be able to adapt it into Bond 23. Wouldn't that be awesome?
"BUM BUDDAH-BUM-BUHBUH BUM, BUHBUM BUDDAH-BUM-BUHBUH BUM, BUH BUDDAH, BUDDAH-BUM..."

Well, there are a couple of other novels called Devil May Care, as well as songs and films, so I doubt CapCom would even have a case...
Besides, it's hella cool.
