Possibly Almost Important Announcement(s)

Some of you may (or may not) have noticed that I haven't updated anything for a week or so. Well, truth is, I'm pretty busy at the moment. However, the more I think about it, the better this idea is.
It is, I think, I pretty generally accepted fact that most of my writing is relatively sub-par. I'm not that good at writing up a decent-sized article and having it not be....horrible. Comics, on the other hand, I enjoy doing enough that I don't care whether anyone likes them or not. They don't carry the same tedious boredom that writing articles sometimes does. As such, I have some thoughts regarding what to do with the site.
I currently have five (5) comic projects on the go. One of them is regularly updated, and the others are update-when-I-feels-like-it situations. So how about this:
Each day of the week, Monday to Friday, a different comic gets a new episode. So maybe Monday, I'd kick things off with a new Life As Death. Then on Tuesday, a new Heccubus III. Wednesday, a new Heccubus Talks. And so forth in that sort of order. I'd probably leave Google Mash for Fridays, as it seems like a nice week-topper.
Any thoughts? Agreements? Disagreements?
That aside, I have something that many of you may be interested in:

I think it's a good idea, and much MUCH better than not updating at all. I check your site every day to see any updates in the comics (I read them...) , but the only updates I've seen you do is in the Blog portion.
So yes, do some updates! I need something to read...

Sounds like a decent plan. I wish there was just an easier way to go about the comic/update process. I guess I'm just really lazy when it comes to that sort of thing.
But, yeah, try the new format. Whatever gets more frequent updates.

Not quantity, but quality. If you enjoy the comics more, chances are they'll come off far superior. Good luck.

Yeah, fair enough. For what it's worth, I don't hate your comics and they're better than stuff by most people I know (although personally I think your old stuff was a bit shocking). You'd seriously wanna enjoy them a lot if you're planning to update daily though. Don't suppose you're in the market for a spare illustrator by any chance...
But yeah. Good move, I guess. I'm gonna flip off every single writing guide out there and say that making yourself write when you aren't in the mood can result in a whole lot of meh. Although you might find that you kinda want to update teh writerings now and then since you suddenly aren't obliged to. I actually rather like your articles, which is saying a lot considering my snobbishly high standards. Not that I've read a whole lot, because I hate reading large chunks of text off a screen, but still.

Right, so I wound up getting a little bogged down with unpacking, which has been more of a hassle than I initially expected, so I have to put things off until next week now instead. Unless I get really bored and decide to start updating later this week. I'll try to keep everyone posted on my progress with getting things back up and running.

Welcome aboard, Karlee.
As I mentioned before, things will be starting up again on Monday. Once things get rolling, I'm going to put some work into redesigning the site so that things look a little better. Right now, the horizontal comics deform the layout pretty badly, so I have to do something about that. Look for much changes in the near future!

Right, so as noted by Karlee, I have redesigned the site. The changes to the layout haven't been applied everywhere just yet, but for the most part, the new look is good to go. I went with a more horizontally-based layout for my own reasons. Also, the comics should no longer distort the menu, because I put them outside of the tables that hold the buttons!
Also, you will notice shortcut buttons across the upper part of the site, right under the fancy schmancy new logo. These will enable you to browse the archives of your favourite comics directly from the main page. The link buttons will lead to the newest comic for each series. I haven't linked them directly to the archives yet, but that's because I have to rebuild the comic sites so that they work on the same layout as the rest of the site.
The biggest change, however, is that the main heccubus.com page will now be where the new comics can be viewed. For the time being, I am leaving the written part of the site intact, but it may not stay up there forever. We'll see.
