The original Matrix I can accept is good. But not because the Wachowski Bros. are good directors; the first movie was a fluke.
I agree.

the second and third were incomprehensable. It felt like they just didnt have enough story to stretch into 2 films, hense all the padding.

I didn't like any of them much either. That is to say I only lasted part way through the second one, and never saw the third. Even the first one didn't make much sense to me, as if the internal logic changed according to needs of the current plot moment. Also, even the first one was too repeptitive, and lacked the drive to continue the basic cool ideas to any kind of grand and ultimate conclusion.

I guess I'm the only one whe does like the other two. Reloaded was meh at best but I loved revelations.
The only thing I could think that would make it better (or tolorable to you guys) would be to show less of the real world. It was boring and didn't realy add THAT much.

You're right. To me, that's what made the first one so great ; there were hardly any real world scenes, and when there was? They had at least some signifigance (sp?).

Does anyone here agree with me that the matrix triolgy is overated? A lot of people say the two sequals are pretty bad but I think all three movies arent that special.... Who agrees?
The first one was good because it was totally dependent on the novel concept that we are in fact living in a fully rendered dimension. the slow motion, time delayed sequences were also new. The W bros. made things more complicated and flawed by outhinking themselves and the film's concept in the final episodes.

I am in the minority who liked Reloaded alot and hated Revolutions. I thought they were good, but became very over-hyped.
Hear, hear!
Does anyone else realize that they never do anything important inside the matrix except go see the oracle and freeing people? Having a meeting there is stupid, it's easily hackable, and there's nothing else to do except create chaos, which is pointless.

I think they just wasted the first film in the other 2.
Did anyone else feel they just couldn't relate to the fact that in Matrix Morpheus and the gang are THE hope for the world, and it's your classic band of adventurers against the odds. Then in Reloaded suddenly the mighty Morpheous is just some jumped up captain in some HUGE army being ordered around.
I think they took the detail too far. The whole thing of Matrix was it was so mind expanding to comprehend living in a fake "reality", and then in the next 2 films they tried to explain too much whilst making the plot convoluted to make it seem cleverer than it really was.
On saying that, I'm not sure what they could have done to keep it "good". Personally, I watch the first movie and leave it hanging!
