Completely agree, JAWF! There are some "gems" in that film, particularly when Supes is fighting his "other" self! Good stuff, IMO.
Back on topic: I finished reading Labyrinth of Evil a few weeks ago and enjoyed Mace Windu's "just on the brink" characterization. Now that I've begun reading "Shatterpoint", I'm thinking this part of his character was adapted nicely into "Labyrinth" (IMO, please remember... no yelling from anyone today - "I'm in a VADER state of mind...yeah" )
Anyhoo, I did also enjoy Obi Wan and Anakin, as written in "Labyrinth" and yes, ITA that their relationship was much more of what one might term "good friends", etc.
