So it is believed that Vader's chestplate says: "His deeds will not be forgiven, until he merits." That's actually really interesting.
But it is accidental? Lucas isn't that bright.
Since we're on the subject, Vader's chestplate looks an awful lot like Caiphus's chestplate in Jesus Christ Superstar.

See, now had this originally had a wider distribution in Hebrew reading nations we might have had spoilers much sooner about Vader turning back to the light. I for one am happy that this has remained a mystery for this long.
Of course this now stems the new set of questions:
1. Did Vader put it there himself as a cry for help & thus can Luke read Hebrew?
2. Did the Emperor put it there as a bit of a joke and also goad people into trying to turn Vader back to the light & thus can Luke read Hebrew?
3. Was this instead a cry for help from some random medical officer charged to put Vader back together knowing that he was contributing to the perpetuation of "ultimate evil" & thus could said random Medical officer read Hebrew?
4. Just how many people in the Star Wars universe can read Hebrew?
These will become the questions of a new generation... well they might last a couple of minutes anyway.
