Yes, just to be able to see the (supposedly) better ending, but I prefer the original version, where Mona dies. I didn't really like her, and a tragic ending fits the story better, anyway.
Scariest moments in the XDAS games Spoilers of course, duh

7DAS: The chase scenes, I guess.
TN: The first visit to the dark world. I was pretty sure something evil would appear to kill me in an unimaginable way. Although I felt that way almost during the entire game. Also, my first random vision (the one with the mansion basement) made me jump, just because it was so unexpected.
6DAS: The Tall Man's first appearance. Not only because he was the last thing I'd expected to hide in the closet (I was pretty sure he couldn't even be confined in one), but also because I didn't have the privacy screen on. And you know what generally happens if you're in the same room with that guy without any kind of protection.

5DAS: The painting of Sir Roderick, the whispering, the creaks, the footsteps..
7DAS: The welder's chase scene. I closed the game because I was so scared, and I knew the ending. Also the nightmare with the new captain.
TN: Random reality shifts. The dark world not only was scary, but when you figure out who all the bodies belong to, it's 10 times worse.
6DAS: Janine coming at you with a welder costume, the "manor", and the parts at the end, particularly Malcolm's descent down the stairs (after knowing what the door signified), the tall man killing the Trilbies, Trilby inside the body of Chzo, and the atomic bomb.

You and me both! I just don't have the nerves for chase scenes...
In 5Days: yeah the skeleton in the tub--scariest part. Bathrooms in horro films in general scare me ( I hate watching the Made-for-TV version of 'The Shining'...). I played 5Days ago for the second time in a year and had forgotten about the whole bathtub scene so it scared me all over again.
Which is a totally awsome thing...
7Days: Chase scenes.
TN: The reality shifts caught me off guard. The bathroom is that came kinda creeped me out, especially the stall with the blood-filled toilet and the word 'NO!' scrawled over it.
Also, I entered the bar and was suddenly in the basement of the DeFoe Manor and the Welder was coming towards me. I couldn't move and every time I typed a command all I got was the 'Father Why?' quote.
6DAYS: Any scenes taking place inside CHZO. Also, the heavy breathing SFX in the Hub/Manor is really freakin' scary. Seriously.

7 Days - Getting human flesh for lunch, The Room, Chase scenes: especially when outside the ship because in my panic I kept forgetting to fasten myself in.
TN - All hallucinations. The reality shift had somewhat of a pattern, but the hallucinations seemed so random and intense they made me throw my laptop in fear.
6 Days - When Tall Man kills the first Trilby Clone. At first came intense fear, then came intense outrage. OMG YAHTZEE KILLED TRILBY SUESUESUE. Of course, I didn't know he was a mere clone yet.

Actually, I regard all Trilbies as if they shared the same consciousness (it is evident from the recollection of the last clone that got trapped in Chzo). So I could not be so cold-blooded about getting them killed all the time.

I think it's a matter of manipulating when and where the player feels "safe." In 6DaS, after the first time Janine-Welder catches you, you realize that the game is entirely safe. None of your actions have consequences, and even if something lunges out of a door at you, the worst thing that's going to happen is waking up back in the bedroom. On the other hand, my scariest moments in Sacrifice were when I realized that the basement was shifting... It gave me a strong sense that things weren't safe anymore, that, as someone upthread sort of said, the rules had changed.
Whereas, in TN, the Dark World, even when you've played all the way through before and know that nothing is ever going to jump out and kill you, never feels safe. I think it's a combination of the fantastic visuals on display, that horrible whispering, and the fact that the game doesn't screw around with death the way 6DaS does. The Tall Man is a brutal killer, the Dark World is his playground, and Trilby can die at his hands (albeit only in one limited engagement). But since the player knows death is possible, they come to expect it around every corner. Especially if the walls making up those corners are soaked in blood.
By the way, I don't mean for this to sound like I'm bashing 6 Days. It's a fantastic game, with a really great plot. It's just not piss-myself scary the way Trilby's Notes was.
