what was the longest time you went without sleep?

did you do it on purpose, or was it involuntary?

for me, it was 41 hours.

thats right, 41 hours straight without sleep, then i crashed like a oak log, and was out for at least a good 15 hours, before i woke up again.

man, i was damn tired.

i tried it just cause i was curious to see how long i could go without sleep. this happened when i was 15 yrs old, and it was during summer break.

I tried it once a week before my first exams. Stayed up all night on the Internet and barely made it to bed before my alarm went off. Stayed perfectly awake all day. wink.gif

Maybe... 25 or 26 hours before a two hour power nap during college.

About 32-36 hours, not too long. Mostly my sleeping patterns are just screwy rather than non-existant.

Well, that's understandable, particularly if you have insomnia... blush.gif

Consecutive? 55 hours (a few minutes under).

It wasn't intentional... stuff kept happening. Evertime I was about to go to bed someone would call and say 'let's do this' and I kept going with it.

I was megascrewed towards the end as I don't generally sleep much to begin with. The sleep prior to the 55 hour comencement was only about 4-5 hours.

Did you start hallucinating? I've never gotten any hallucinations, just massive, skull-crushing headaches and lingering bitchiness.

I've had blackouts, while playing an online game. Was up all night waiting to snag a gamecube, had to cook at church in the morning and then played a bit. Blacked out, and then decided to get some sleep. Was terrible.

I've had little sections of microsleep, but never blackouts. Goodness, how dreadful! crying.gif

dayyuummn...barend.. i bet you kept getting that warm fuzzy feeling people get when they get really, really tired. your eyelids start flittering shut, and you try to stay awake. you really cant see straight, everything seems blurry and euphoric and voices seem low and subliminal...yeah..i know what its like to be tired....but even you have my all time record beat by a good 13 hours or so...wowzers.
