I rarely get to see good concerts where I live, most of them are free concerts in the park. And those have sucked, (with the notable exception of The Root Doctors). I saw buddy guy awhile back at the Three Rivers Music Festival, and Widespread Panic and Stretch Armstrong. Pretty good shows.
And we want to be free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man! And we want to get loaded!

December 15th (I think): Arch Enemy, supported by Strapping Young Lad.

Tomorrow: The Strokes!

You surely can tear them apart too, Heccubus, but what the hell, I like them. They'll be playing with Kings of Leon too (ehhh I don't really give a damn about them) and a couple of local bands.

So, about that tearing apart... (check the other thread)

saw Nine Inch Nails last month...

was thinking about going to see Motley Crew, just because Motorhead's supporting...

MC supported by Motorhead here, and Killing Joke in the US...

WTF?!?

that's like Metallica and Slayer opening for Machine Head or something...

Heccubus, not only am I obscenely jealous of all the shows you get to see, but I am also amazed that you know of Between the Buried and Me. (Unless you only know of them because they happen to be playing at the concert to which you're going...)

I could have seen Yellowcard for really cheap a little while ago, and all my friends say I'm crazy for not... But honestly, they don't thrill me all that much.

Wise choice. If there are any bands who gained popularity in the past year who are completely useless, Yellowcard is definitely one of them.

Thank you! Someone finally agrees with me, and I don't get threatened with my life because I insult precious Yellowcard that everyone's ga-ga for because... Because... Um... Because they have a violin?

I'm thinking about seeing Trans-Siberian Orchestra within the next couple of months, but I'd have to travel/find time & money.

The violin is a gimmick. It's a shame that no one has picked up on that. Take that out, and they sound exactly the same as every other whiny pop punk band out there.

Saw Hot Hot Heat this Friday, along with The Redwalls and We Are Scientists. 'Twas much fun.
Head Gunner for the Royal Sloop Crimson Steel, Queen of the Dead, Instigator of Chaos and Confusion, Knight of the Grand Recursive Order of the Lambda Calculus, and also The Non.

Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.
