I just wanted to get this link here since the Escapist front page updater is screwy today.
Honestly, I thought Yahtzee was going to tear this one a much bigger hole than he did.

That was my first thought (and yes, I think in all caps) when I saw that instead of Yahtzee putting his e-mail address at the end he linked to this site. Does this mean that the 1000+ SSBB comment fest will spill over onto these forums? Does Yahtzee expect us to welcome all the one post wonders here with open hands? Has Yahtzee forsaken us--leaving the door to the chicken coop open so all the foxes and dogs and hobos can come and devour us as they please?
... It's a scary thought, even if it is not likely to happen.
Otherwise I thought the review was pretty funny. I wasn't terribly excited for it, but I neither own a DS nor play many RPGs so I had never even heard of the game before. I especially liked the return of the Tree from the GTA IV review at the end.

Everyone on the cover look like characters from Kingdom Hearts too, which automatically makes me steer clear.

Also, just to be nit picky, Yahtzee mentions that he does what ever song it was on expert but during his review of Guitar Hero he mocks those who can manage such a feat. Just saying ...

Er, the RPG comment doesn't apply to this review, however. As I said, I had never heard of the game.

First of all, there are many FPS's that Yahtzee didn't like. Secondly, the entire Backspace column in the last PC Gamer was devoted to bringing the adventure game genre to its knees. Third, he doesn't give scores at all.
Lastly, even Yahtzee (a known JRPG hater) admits that the combat is fun. I've played the game, it is. The criticisms were valid and welcome.

Congratulations Yahtzee for making all the way to 25! That's a quarter of a century! The years are gonna get faster from here on out as your youth slips away, your hair falls out, and you start grumbling about "Kids These Days."
Yeah I have no opinion about the review. I enjoyed it, it was teh funneh, and I'm gonna get "The World Ends with You" anyway because I have no balls and I love Squeenix.
Really, I am. I have a Sephiroth wall scroll and everything. Don't judge me. Well, fine, do judge me, just don't be too surprised when I completely ignore you.
If Yahtzee HAD had glowing things to say about TWEWY, I would have been really surprised. JRPGs (and "The world Ends With You" doesn't pretend to be anything else) are not for everyone and don't have to be. It's not like they're hard to avoid.

What about God of War, chains of olympus (or whatever).
Or did I just dream that?
Hmm
That was a PSP game.
Although now you mention it, we had Phantom Hourglass ages ago, that was the first DS game reviewed.

Anyways, Happy Bday. You are only two years away from causing a resonance cascade, beating up Aliens and soldiers with a Crowbar, time travelling, meeting your future wife and getting raped by your older self from a parallel universe.
Adn yeah, we love your stuff. Hope you finally get to write some books.

I don't think that's quite neccesary... yet.
I think he genuinely hated the games he hated and not just for the sake of hating something. He probably hates the games he likes, except not so much to warrant a good old fashioned British roasting.
I wonder what Yahtzee will be like in the future. Do you think he'll have become rich and famous doing comedy and is performing live? That would be sweet. Though, he'd have to learn to tolerate/ignore his fans before then.
Then again, his fans probably love him for his hate. Being hated by Yahtzee is probably like a blessing in some wierdo fanboys convoluted logic.
