I think they could be great!
I would not line up on opening day, but the potential is there.
Lucas would no longer be painted into the corner of his own bad idea: he could actually do anything in these movies.
If the sequels are made, and the first gets good reviews, I will watch AOTC and ROTS on video, and be born again.
PS: Only if Luke Leia and Han were in them at least a little bit. I don't think it's fair to say the years have been unkind to Carrir Fisher. I saw her in Sex and the City and she looked like a woman born in the late fifties, which is what she is.

There is always the possiblity that Lucas could learn some lessons from the PT's, and finally get a decent product, duplicate the quality of the original films, but.. that's wishful thinking again.

but not sequels...
and not by george...
and no more than 10% of the CGI usage of the PT (and better quality for the love of God)...
and no media-chlorines....
and no relation to characters from the existing movies (yeah, no even a background fucking alien like hammerhead, I mean nothing!!!)...

I think he should stop in his tracks, and accept that SW is over for him and leave it for the novel writers.

Sigh.
Sigh. And double sigh.
I... don't know what to say anymore. It's all hopeless. Let the gushers have it. I'm going to find something else more interesting to watch, get into something new and epic... or maybe old and epic. Maybe I'll see if I can find some raunchy Japanese films....
See you guys later.

The important thing would be to give the reinsa to someone, and to let a writer write them. Not necessarily a fan, either, since that road is dangerous. A seasoned screenwriter with some credits under his belt, who knows genre stuff and would put his heart into it. My pick would be Joss Whedon. Hell. Maybe even let him direct the third one.

The Gungangs: The Battle for Naboo
The Gungang Adventure
Young Jar-Jar Binks Chronicles (TV - at least 4 seasons)
Jar-Jar Binks the Rastaphibian
I think these will do well - they will allow GL to display fully his abilities as a writer-produces
