most recently Kung Fu Panda and lets just say
the audience was less than excited.
And really, who can blame them??
Everytime i see it i just think of how stupid it all is.
GL is ruining his own legacy and tarnishing the greatness that SW once was.
I remember the days when i used to get all crazed and hyper
when i saw LucasFilm glisten across my screen
now, i cringe.
The sad/funny part is what if (and its a very big if)
this isnt a complete debacle.
Yes its highly doubtful but some day
i swear he's gonna have another great movie
to save him and his family from their current shame
I just can't give up hope

From what I hear so far, it sounds very childish. These movies would only teach Lucas anything if they didn't yield a profit. I'd say the only thing to do would be boycott trash like this, but you also have to think of fanboys and the simpletons that (willingly) go to see this stuff. Only because it says "Star Wars" do people keep flocking to it with a small pinch of hope that this may be better.
The only diehard fans of SW are the ones who's minds have not yet caught up to Lucas' money tactics. No matter how absurd Lucas makes a film nowadays, just so long as it says "Star Wars" on it, people will fight for tickets, seats, toys, soda cans with characters on them, and the newest meal at Burger King for it. They will die defending it, even if it was a fat man in half a wookie costume taking a dump in a Port-O-Potty in Los Angeles. If Lucas says that's Endor, then it is! If Lucas says that fat man is someone in the SW universe, then he is!
There is no (new) hope for these films because Lucas doesn't care much about a loyal fanbase, he only cares about the money he pulls. The absurdity of the film is what's going to keep the foolish going to it, and the "Star Wars" title is going to keep pulling us, (the original fans) back to it to check it out. No matter how dissapointing, Lucas still got our money. CG is cheap and the profit he makes will be bigger than the cost of the films production... that profit "tells" him to go on.
So don't any of you think that this film is our "last hope," no, it isn't. The franchise has long been dead. There is no hope in death.

Too bad Gorgie didn't make an erotic thriller - that label indicating the Hutts are hermaphrodites is an intriguing bit of information.
The Tropic of Tatooine?

Did anyone see the new trailer with the tween Jedi? Its nice to see that iCarly and Star Wars exist in the same universe. I wouldnt be surprised if Myley Ray Cyrus is voicing the character.
As for Rotta, are you kidding me! A slug that burps up purple stink clouds, now that is funny Mr. Lucas.
I read that bio of Rotta, what a joke! Jabba wanted him to explore the galaxy!! I love how Jabba the Hutt became a benevolent, enlightened father. Its nice to know that Jabba is just like the dad from Namesake.
DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE. FOR THE LOVE OF STAR WARS, DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MORE $.

I mean, George has no excuse. He didn't make that movie 30 years ago, with plenty of time to forget the details. He made this movie ten years ago, and then he tried to fix the old ones to get them to make sense with that one.
Now he's got to release a special edition of the PT to reconcile it with this damn movie.
Damn it, George.
Just damn it.
I also love how this is billed as "The Untold Chapter of the Star Wars Saga".
Well, yeah, but you were supposed to tell it earlier, remember?
That's what the second movie was supposed to be about!
Not...whatever the hell it was about.
-John Carpenter's They Live
"God help us...in the future."
-Plan 9 from Outer Space

as i was reading your post the tv teaser came on
Whats not so funny is that it makes no sense
the girl is annoying and if she is voiced by Ms. Cyrus
then i'd be happy since this gives me more reason to HATE HER!
and the Baby Hutt why why why?
and yet after all of this i still have the desire to see this movie
Yes, i know this will only further complicate the SW Universe
but i dont care!!
its possible i may need
some serious professional help
but i have to see it first then i'll decide

This is GL's dream, not ours. No actors is what he's wanted for a long time.
Jabba's son... this isn't even a concept. What's next for the Super Special Computer Animated "New Hope", Obi wan has three daughters?! Including Princess Leia?!
Complete trash. This is all to make more toys.
