He's referring to the new trilogy of films coming out that will have Bale in them.

So far every sequel to, as well as every comic book based on THE TERMINATOR has been flawed at best and terrible at worst. I include T2 in case anyone's wondering; while it had better action, it was essentially a remake in plot of the forst film but with a bewildering happy endind. The first at least made sense in its "self-causing paradox" of time travel; in the sequel now it's possible apparently to change the very sequence of events that made themselves possible. As time travel ideas go, that's fine too, but it denies the premise of the first one. A pretty important rule to follow in science fiction is that in order to maintain suspension of disbelief, the writer must obey any rules he's laid out. Once readers learn to accept those rules, you can tell your story. If you break your own rules (as they did in T2), then you're sacrificing story for the sake of asplodin' things.

I have no interest in any more Terminator material. I am sure it will all suck.

I agree. The first is a far superior product all round. T2 is a fun film and i could maybe sit through the third one again (even though the car controling thing made the TX more of some kind of Druid than a cyborg). But I think Neither capture the awsomeness of the original.

Also... the original has Michael Beihn in it. I want everyone to think about this for a second. We live in a world that let Leonardo DiCaprio become famous, but not Michael Beihn. Understand, this world is a piece of shit as a result, and should terminators ever come back in time to fuck the world up, I will only be too eager to offer my assistance.

T2 started to stretch plausability, but i wouldn't call it a bad film. But from this point onwards it opens up to many questions...

Christian Bale film? What? I don't remember him even being in any of the Terminator movies. They most certainly cannot be considered "Christian Bale films".

I have no idea where you are going with this.

It was in response to this:

So I'm going to give the movies a shot.

but the show can just get fucked.

I still have no idea what you're talking about, because you just came out of nowhere with it. My guess, based upon the response of Casual, is that Christian Bale is starring in three new Terminator movies, and that's what you meant. I hope this is not true, since Bale is a good actor and the Terminator is one dead cyborg horse of a series.

Well so far I haven't seen a christian bale film i didn't like.
So far... every film I have seen with Christian Bale it, I have loved it. Velvet Goldmine, American Psycho, Batman Begins, Equilibrium, The Machinist, and I didn't mind Reign of Fire.

So I'm going to give the movies a shot.
I will give Terminator 4 and other Terminator movies with Christian Bale in them a shot because as previously stated, "I haven't seen a Christian bale film i didn't like." and any terminator film with Christian Bale in them will be a film with Christian Bale in them, and that's pretty good odds as so far I haven't seen a Christian bale film i didn't like so I'm using that pattern to justify taking a risk that if I go see these movies at the cinema I won't claw my eyes out because Christian Bale as a compatible taste in scripts.

but the show can just get fucked.
The show, of which I caught the first five minutes of an episode the other night, can in all honesty get fucked, because it sucks.

You're rigging the stats Barend, until you've seen LAUREL CANYON, CAPTAIN CORELLI'S MANDOLIN, and SHAFT.

Boy howdy.

The show is actually pretty good if you sit through and watch it. Brian Austin Greene is surprisingly good and the progression of John Connor has been handled pretty well. Lena Headey is making a good Sarah Connor and the River Glau Terminator is not that bad.

Christian Bale in the upcoming Terminator films will definetely rock!
"And shepherds we shall be for Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth unto Thee and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti!!!"

WoWOwww Ho ho

Wolfie, is that you???
It's nice to have the other Jade back

and yet again we agree
i admit i was a naysayer of the show in the beginning

but if i miss an episode on Monday night
the hallways run red with the blood of those who tried to stop me

Im only a tad obsessed now, though i kinda get the feeling
they are trying to prolong needless story lines so they can add on seasons

Sorry it has been so long and good to see us once more in agreement. This show really hit me during "Goodbye to all That" when Derek and John infiltrated the military academy. Brian Austin Green and Dekker showed some acting chops then.

It does seem like they are dragging certain aspects of the storyline but I think it will pick back up as long as this stupid actor's strike doesn't come to fruition.

Actor's strike. Even worse. Like they don't make enough money.

I kind of have to wonder about the Friday time slot as well. I can understand with 24 coming back but there are other places to put TSCC. Thursday is one place I can think at the 8PM timeslot.
