Added 'Tripods: the complete series' to my DVD wish list.

complete.

COMPLETE!!!

Did anyone else grow up watch this? Complete my ass!!! The show got axed after the second season so it ends in a terrible note. That's what really raped my childhood, right there and then, not retrospectivley the way Lucas did.

I had a kidney stone this past Tuesday and was in excruciating pain in the hospital for most of the day. Then I went to work sick the next day (I was malnourished and dehydrated from the episode). I vomited three times in the bathroom during the course of the day. It was terrible.

David Carradine died! He's played a number of villainous roles over the years and mainly been seen as a kung-fu bad*ss!

But nooooo, he went out like some punk! I wouldn't have an issue if he died of a heart failure, car accident, or even a sparring mishap, but no, his body is found dead because of "auto-erotic asphyxiation!"

Why the Hell was he trying to asphyxiate himself alone?!

Bug crawled behind my LCD screen and died there. Now I have a tiny, tiny, black and slightly irritating bug shaped dot on my screen. Banzai.

Bugs are stewpid. :angry2:

I'd laugh if that bug knew it was going to die soon so it went behind your screen just to spite you. If I was to name that bug, I would name it Deucaon Junior.
"I felt insulted until I realized that the people trying to mock me were the same intellectual titans who claimed that people would be thrown out of skyscrapers and feudalism would be re-institutionalized if service cartels don't keep getting political favors and regulations are cut down to only a few thousand pages worth, that being able to take a walk in the park is worth driving your nation's economy into the ground, that sexual orientation is a choice that can be changed at a whim, that problems caused by having institutions can be solved by introducing more institutions or strengthening the existing ones that are causing the problems, and many more profound pearls of wisdom. I no longer feel insulted because I now feel grateful for being alive and witnessing such deep conclusions from my fellows."

I just realized that there is no adequate translation for "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." in the German language.

Which must be the reason for why all the other friggin' German tourists were so goddamn hellbent on embarrassing us all the friggin' time! :yell:

Probably worst thanksgiving I've had so far in my life.
Mom's side - my mother is currently unwelcome at my grandparents house because she's back with my stepdad who has apparently had a complete turn around (He was a real bad person, but that's a whole n'other story). She also just got diagnosed with osteoporosis and has been sick since June. She also will probably die in less than 5 years if she doesn't quit smoking immediately (which she won't), and even then it might be too late. One of my cousins is bonkers. She's definitely bi-polar, and perhaps schitzo as well. And like most crazy people, she's got this thing about not taking her meds. She also didn't come today. My brother didn't come either; I don't know specifically why, but I think there's more to it than just him going to his girlfriends place instead (which I found out later he really didn't enjoy). All told there was my granparents, myself, one aunt, one uncle, and one cousin. 6 compared to about 16 people last year. My grandfather is also starting to lose it and got into one of the stupidest arguments I've ever seen with my cousin about who sat where, and he got mean about it, mouthing off to several people. It was bad, and I lost my temper and screamed "Enough!" and slammed both my fists down on the table. Family is supposed to kinda stick together, and mine hadn't ever done anything like this before. We managed to settle back down enough to eat though. When I left, I jokingly suggested that we could use some group counseling.

Dad's side - Nothing bad happened here, but by the time I got there I was already feeling pretty down because of the previous meal. And I was tired. It's currently about a 2.5 hour drive to get to where most of my family is. Besides the usual craziness that goes on, one of my cousins has been suffering from depression of some kind. He wasn't there, but that's usual because he and his mom live quite a distance away. He's attempted suicide more than once this past year, and has evidentally begun "cutting" as well. He doesn't respond to phone calls or online messages from anyone in the family lately, and we're all just worried.
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

Depending on what illness you're talking about, medication can have a range of totally fixing most or all symptoms, but for many it is not the best option. My friend is bi-polar and he doesn't take meds for it, and he does pretty well. Also, I've heard meds for depression turn you into a fucking zombie...

mmm, I'm not entirely sure what the case is honestly. All I really know is that she's been diagnosed with mental disorders and acts pretty crazy, more so in the last year or two. And from what I've been told, she avoids doing anything that might help her out with anything in that department. Why she even got rediagnosed was because she got put into a hospitals mental ward for a bit. As to how she got there, I don't know, I'm not being given the entire story.

General complaint:
People throwing meds at every little thing.

It's just like working too close to the hardware guys in my company - when all you have is an RJ45 ethernet cable, everything kinda starts to look like fuck-it-I'm-just-gonna-mash-it-in-until-we-get-a-signal, it seems.

... or maybe that's a bad analogy. Well anyways, too many children get diagnosed with ADD these days... once I even heard some soccer mom say "It just ain't right, he's way more active than any normal adult I know!".

Oh there is a ton of that these days. A kid starts to act to hard to handle for there parents and suddenly they've got ADD, ADHD, or a slew of other things. I would think that regularly giving mind/mood altering drugs to a person during their formative years would be a really dangerous thing to do.
