Actually, I'm not just using Wal-Mart as an example. I don't know about the rest of the country, but in Florida they do this all the time. Mostly to poorer people. They are generating jobs and whatnot, but they're kicking out tons of people to do it.
Proof the USA is going to hell.

Agreed. It's basically the haves wanting what little the have nots have. The jobs they generate are low wage and low skill. Property rights used to be the hallmark of American liberty, now it's all about capital liberty and economic rights.

I always got the impression that the term liberal was kind of wishy washy, with no rigid definition, politcally. Now days, conservatives use it more or less as an insult, right? All sorts of people are called liberals, I think, but I always got the impression it had something to do with someone's belief in protecting the obligations society had for individuals, like say the obligation society has not to control another persons reproductive choices. Sounds pretty good to me!
And lefty, well isn't that just a term used to describe a certain swing, politically? Like opposite to righty's, or those in the right wing politically. And aren't Those people like republicans and conservatives and shit? And so wouldn't it follow that the left wingers would be the other people, namely the people who sit on the other side of the proverbial fence. And aren't at least one subset of those people democrats? I mean, they certainly aren't 'rightys'. Maybe some of them would be better termed as moderates, but even those, I bet, are only called that because they are so close to the middle, but no doubt still more or less on the "other" (left) side.

In all seriousness, CLASS STRUGGLE! YARRR!
Ok, let me try again. Renegade, stop arguing semantics. It's just plain silly and detracting from legitimate debate/bitching.
Well to be fair, you should say Renegade, Rory, and Rhubarb (Hey three R's!), stop arguing semantics. And I think Renegade's point isn't that silly. A lot of people seem to think being a liberal is a horrible thing, but that really seems to be from all the bad press the word gets from people who claim liberals are wishy washy pansies. And THAT's just silly! Well some liberals are pansies I guess, but still!

Liberals get a bad wrap because they are the enemies of the conservatives, and they have no qualms against fighting as dirty as possible. I think the liberals need to wake up and fight fire with fire before the US becomes irreversibly reactionary.

It's not really a argument its just common sense. The left of the spectrum (lefty) is considered liberal as opposed to the right side of the spectrum which is considered conservative. I don't see the trouble in this understanding. Whether you think Democrats are LIBERAL nuff is irrelevent to the point of lefty = liberal.

I guess some people are pansies.
Then some are liberals.
And some are not.
I like the expression "wishy washy", though.

Do you not read?
LIBERAL OR RADICAL. Not AND.
The left side is considered liberal / radical (when extreme) and right side is considered conservative / reactionary (when extreme). It's really not difficult to comprehend.

Maybe we could invent some new political jargon.
One could have libedicals and conservionarys, for starters.
