Let's see, I think the basic requirements at my high school were four years of English, three years of science, three years of math, three years of social studies (four classes, but two are only semester courses), two years gym, one semester of Health, and any empty hours left in the schedule were filled with elective courses.
By exams I'm guessing you mean exit exams. We have to do two (English and math) in tenth grade and two (science and social studies) in eleventh. If we fail those we can't graduate (or pass the grade either, I think) After that it's just basic semester and end-of-year exams for every class.
Wait, how specific were you being? I'm not really sure how this compares to other school systems.
On a side note: I've now officially received my diploma, which for some reason we don't get until a week after the ceremony - I'm off to burn my old uniform now in celebration...
