Frustrating!
In learning both Windows shell scripting and Unix coding, I have determined that programming is something I would never, ever, EVER, EVER go into as a profession. Does anyone know of a good online resource for learning these sorts of things so that I don't flunk out of college? Again.

I honestly can't name one. Google helped me find some good resources, but I'm quite sure that you've already looked there, too, and if that didn't suffice, then I'm at my wits end...

I thought that was the whole point of college.
For them to at least recommend books and resources.

Right, but the problem I face is that my professor for this particular class has similar teaching abilities to that of a sack of potatos.

Oh so no different to my place. I passed a basic computing course at a learning centre a long time ago. They did a range of courses there. Now I take an internet course to better my knowledge in basic subjects. One catch is paying for it. I have yet to learn about the basic commands of Unix myself.
I found something to do with bourne shell scripts.
I wonder if this is the sort of thing you are looking for.
