Barend- Operation kill all the crew isn't going too well. The British seem to have organized better now and have taken the bow of the ship, forming ranks and firing volleys at your crew. They've figured out to aim for the heads now, and British bodies are now joined by a few of your men who have been knocked down. Of course your people have greater endurance, and might hold out if not for something disconcerting coming from your boat. The Spaniards have risen up as one under the leadership of the Lieutenant, who holds a mirror in his hand. They've thrown many of your men overboard in their ambush and captured two or three, who are now being rowed towards the Spanish flagship. The British, seeing victory at hand, redouble their efforts to push you back even as more of their men fall in defense of their own ship.

Those ungratefull bastards.... YOU KNOW YOU'RE ALL STILL GOING TO HELL, RIGHT?!?

I smash my rum bottle on the mast and set it ablaze, and then I'm going to glass the nearest englishman.

((Hmmm, for some reason I thought the message was coming from one of the British ships. Seems rather stupid in retrospect. If I'd known that it was Barend's, I would have held off the mutiny. Kinda shot myself in the foot there, but it's too late now.))

Fire on the British! I want their bloated corpses filling the harbour!

Zatoichi- Your fire is now not quite so accurate, and the flagship takes several shots, although none are terribly damaging. Her crew is dwindling now but shes still going to fire back. She hits your ship doing moderate damage and killing a couple of crewmen, shaking you up a bit as you begin to sail towards her. The ship doing the towing fails to get your orders and just continues to take the psanish vessel out of combat.

Slade- Indeed, the name in the diary, which looks made up, is different from the ship it was found on... and the entry about getting leaves stuck in ones rib cage is odd too. Perhaps it didnt belong to someone from the Mary Celeste.

Barend- Your crew rally to you and the flaming rum bottle and charge the British. Many of them get shot but dont seem to mind. You hear a few splashes. The british lines are giving way. as you gouge the captain with the busted rum bottle the last of the ships crew leaps overbaord. The vessel is yours.

Sime- The DM giveth and the DM screw around with you...

Your one remaining ship fires on the British flagship which is fast approaching, apparently preparing to board. The broadside is quite successful and slams the hull of Zatoichi's flagship, slowing her down quite a bit. A few masts fall and many crewmen are dead, but you still face 3 British ships against your one and the battle is going poorly as they prepare to board. The remaining crew of your other ship is struggling to get a fresh vessel under way, but have no chance of entering the battle yet.

better pull up to my stranded mutinied ship and jump on board and kill those spanish bastards after all.

I cut myself (so i can feel LOL) and let my blood spill on the deck of this ship to keep it above drowning level.

if there's time i'd like to say: "I offered ye eternity, and yer oath binds ye to hell to hell no matter how you look at it, so ye can be kings with me or tortured thralls for all eternity!"

(I'd like to dispute the possibility of an undead pirate having blood that can actually spill, since having a dead body means a congealed and not running circulatory system.)

(congealed blood would probably prohibit movement... we're not zombies. Undead just have undead blood that heals undead tissue quicker, does not require oxygenation as it recieves a supernatural suppliment of unholy and unnatural replenishment directly from hell - which is why holy water is believed to be so important, and most importantly tastes like aniseed and copper with an unpleasant soily aftertaste)

I'm going to kinda put this thing on hiatus til after the holidays, and Barends people are human during the day, bone pirates at night. Yes, I just called Barend a bone pirate. Is that an insult? It should like it should be.
