Laura is a bright and hardworking columnist whose work in laceandeskimo.com is consistently excellent. She updates regularly and plays a productive part in Chef Elf Forum discussion. She has very solid critical, interpretive, and writing abilities, and her work shows considerable interest in and engagement with the course material. For her shorter articles Laura wrote on Boy Meets World, The Pathedic Postcard Contest, Nietzsche, and Gilligan. She wrote longer papers on Who's Your Ideal Top Gun Match and on Why The Babysitters Club Should Have Aged. Lauta writes very well. Her articles are unusually clear, accurate, and perceptive, and she is very good at raising critical points and questions. In her article on Why the Babysitters Club should have aged she did a very nice job of examining the arguments and counterarguments regarding temporal progression in young adult fiction. In her self-evaluation, Laura notes that her post count on the Chef Elf Forums could have been higher. I agree, and encourage her to play a more active role in the Star Wars Fan Convention discussion. I think that she and the other members of the forums would benefit from her speaking up even more. Laura is clearly prepared for advanced work in humor website writing and young adult book reviews, and I hope that she will continue to pursue her studies in these areas.

So you did something to piss Laura off and are trying desperately to make up for it, eh?

As for the article itself, who's existence I only just noticed, I rather like it, despite only having vaguely scoped out these books while playing cruel pranks on my sister. However, much like Holden Caufield, I think everything should stay just as it is, so I suppose I have a divergent view on the subject.

I agree with everything Rory said about Laura being great and all but I am unclear about what he is driving at. What exactly is it that you want Laura to do?

I wonder just how number one fans are decided? Is it a battle royale or just whoever calls it? If the latter is the case than I want to be fan number two, not to be confused with Civilian Number Two.
