Much like Australian counterpart Yahtzee, I have been considering making the jump to standup comedy. The downside to this is that I have no material. The upside to that is that I could easily draw upon articles that I wrote in the past to come up with some stuff to work with in a live setting. Above is a list of articles that I feel could potentially provide me with some decent standup material. Your job is to let me know which one you think could work best. If you think more than one would be good, then by all means post your suggestions.

Straight off, I'd advise against the Seven Stages, simply because every man and his dog has a tale or five focused around drinking. Lord knows I've got plenty. And while I thoroughly agree with just about everything in the IM article, lord alone knows the average punter at a standup gig probably won't have a clue.
That said, everyone hates Crazy Frog, fad diets suck rightious balls (besides, the whole "I'm a fucking stick insect!" angle you played would work so much better when people can, in fact, see the stick insectness), and nappies... hell, might work.
That said, good luck if and when you take the plunge. God alone knows, back when I had reasons to be on a stage, it scared the willies out of me.

When you lose your calm, you feed your anger.
