However, a publishing company WILL NOT publish a short story which assumes knowledge of four independent, freeware games that only a small amount of people have actually played in order to understand it. So, although Gobbler might think continuity can fuck right off, publishers won't. It'd essentially be like buying a book, and just jumping in in the middle.
