Aw, Duran Duran is fun in a silly way. And some of your stuff is fun in a "this is trying too hard to be the epitome of its genre" sort of way...
I have a bunch of silly Christian contemporary music from when I was a kid and not exposed to anything else. What's funny is I still like to listen to it from time to time because most of what I have wasn't overtly Christian, it's fun to sing to, and it's really silly-fun in a nostalgic kind of way.
Then I have some other Christian music that is actually really good; I'd call it better than most secular music of whichever genre it's from (like when I was in my hardcore phase, Christian hardcore was almost always better - it was more musical, and of course you couldn't understand a word they were saying anyway). Skillet, for instance, until they turned into something weird and depressing, was really good fusion regardless of the lyrics. But stuff like that would definitely cause someone to question my musical tastes.
And then there's the fact that I have every David Bowie cd ever. Including ones that no one really knows about. That could probably raise some eyebrows.
Then the rest of my questionable music - most of it I don't even like, but I got it back when I used to like it, or it was a gift, or someone recommended it to me so I got it and it ended up I didn't like it (but I rarely get rid of any music so I still have it.) However, some of it is that I can't help but like it even though I know it's bad (like junk food!):
the first Linkin' Park
Korn - Untouchables or whatever
Hardcore shit, period, no matter what band (I can't even remember the names at this point)
TATU (I can't help it, I have some sort of unexplainable attraction to the fun dance-y pop-ness of it!)
the first 2 BSB, the second NSYNC, the first 98degrees (give me a break, I was 11

)
an abnormal amount of Indie crap that I picked up for 25cents each at a used cd store (I think I found 2 cds that were any good)
an abnormal amount of jazz and classical music
REO Speedwagon
Boston
Journey
WAAAAY too much techno, ew
Bruce Springstein

(an old boyfriend got it for me)
!!! (was curious, got it, didn't like it)
Journey Division
Iggy Pop
Billy Idol
HIM
Gym Class Heroes
Orgy (what a stupid name)
Disney soundtracks
video game sountracks
Millencolen
Phantom Planet
Slipknot
Sneaker Pimps
that "Punk Gone Pop" shit
Marilyn Manson
And I can't think of anything else at the moment.
(I have a feeling some people's toes are gonna get stepped on by people listing music they know is crap and someone else doesn't agree.

I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.
