No, a story about an internationally wanted thief who is named after a hat and gets stuck in a haunted manor with an unstoppable killer sounds completely original...
And you did, by the way, mention that it is "Yahtzee-styled".

Really? I had fully imagined some kind of talking beret as a regimental mascot.
Someone has watched Mythbusters.

There is NO HAUNTED MANOR!! It was burned ten years before... You know what? I'm tired of this crap. I won't say a single more word about my completely original project. Just wait a few more months and then you will see.

Somebody got defensive. I'm not trying to stir the pot here, I'm trying to show you why it looks, at a glance, to be similar to another story. For all I know the plot could be the most original thing since the invention of the codpiece, but even you have to admit that the little outline you gave there shares superficial likenesses at the least.

Appreciated. Frankly, The Bear Cave is a 4 room game with all of 1 puzzle and some dialogue. Oh, and a horrible song I wrote. It's unlikely to ever see "release" as it was only created as a learning process. Hell, my brother and I started it years ago. The only reason we never finished is because we moved on to other things. Our friend really likes the humor in it, though, so we're gonna finish it for him. As for the other one, I feel like it's too Yahtzee inspired, but my bro makes the backgrounds and my buddy makes most of the animations, I just script and put the shit together. Which can be annoying when dialogue between more than one person sounds like me talking/bitching at myself.
I'm just here to point out your shortcomings and stupidity.

For the dialogue, maybe you should try a vocal modulator, or use a program to raise or lower the pitch of your voice.
Barring that, you could always guilt your brother into helping out.

Well, look at all the conversations I carry on with people!
Personally, I'm not much of a game designer, but I do know how to write dialogue -- especially in tandem with another person.

The sprites in the Bear Cave were originally created by a friend of my brother. The walk-cycle is not that great, but it was a starting point. I reworked it into the hippyish looking guitar player you see there, and eventually my friend took the whole thing and fixed/upgraded it to the fellow you see in the other screenshot. I'm well aware that they look like shit in the first screenshot. Maybe it looks like shit in the second one as well, but frankly, I don't give a rabbit sack. I'm happy with it.
