Game translations?

Umm, apart from things like graphical text objects it worked nicely, but Yahtzee hasn't uploaded it yet. Maybe because some very minor changes have been made since the presently downloadable version (i.e. we fixed the problem with Matthew's birthday), and that might not work correctly with the previous versions, and their translations (because it looks stupid if the clashing messages are just left English, whereas the rest of the game is in some other language). Last time I checked there was only the Italian translation available, there might be more now, dunno.

Just send an e-mail to Yahtzee about your intentions, and he'll tell you what to do. It's basically a really long text file, with empty lines between the English ones, which you have to fill out with the Bulgarian version.
Oh, and be more careful about the punctuation in the translation than here at the forums.

As far as I know the solution is to substitute font with the specially prepared russian one and write a couple of lines that switch font when russian translation is selected. We've done it with Tierra's "King's Quest 1 VGA" and with LucasFan's "Maniac Mansion Deluxe" and "New Adventures of Zak McKraken".

Well, if you can provide a .ttf russian alphabet font I'll look into it.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

Well, I am willing to translate the games into german. These "special characters" aren't a problem.
I have too much spare time and translating from english to german is just too easy.
If you want me to translate the games or at least one just send me the text files, Yahtzee.
(I know, nobody knows me...but I'm a fan and I'm always watching these forums. )

I've sent you a mail with a couple of fonts and a picture with Russian Glyphs. If you need additional assistance I can send you an example of working game ("Black Cauldron" remake sources) translated into Russian.

I played 5DAS's Hungarian version and really liked it. The translation of "Matthew wasn't the sharpest tool in the box" was pretty funny
I played with the idea of translating games that Yahtzee puts the special font. But I have a VERY limited knowledge about programming
And there is already a Hungarian translator here
