But since you've asked, you are real freaks and you are talking about comedy games. A comedy game must have a hilarious ending, like, lets say, the entire destruction of the universe.
But the X days series is a psicho-terror-horror game and must have a happy ending, or else it cannot be considered a real ending. What do you think about the 7DAS ending? Wasn't it incomplete? Reformulating: Wasn't it intentionally incomplete? It's obvious that Yaz was just making sure that he could make a sequel in the future, if the game was well accepted. And so it was.
Good terror and action stories must follow this rule: Everything is OK in the end. If it's not OK, then it's not the end.
"Consider that my opinion but consider also that I am always right."

How can an unhappy ending not be considered an ending?!
Look at the Green Mile, or the Usual Suspects - both have arguably unhappy endings, but both are terrific.
It's in Yahtzee's head whether to end the series on a happy or an unhappy note, but either way I've a feeling it'll suit the series and be well recieved.

By the way, here's the game's title, abbreviated: 6DAS

Moreover, if you're offended by negative criticism, then perhaps you shouldn't write them up on a forum. Personally, I can't tolerate that very well either, but that's why I don't make my stuff public.
EDIT: Whoops, I see now there's a new page I haven't read yet. Damn.
...
Oh, so you were pissed off at me because I wanted the universe to explode. I was exaggerating, but still, why are you so against unhappy endings? 1213 was a horror-thriller too, did it have a fucking happy ending? No it didn't, it had a devastating ending (unless you had the gold ticket, of course), and still, people loved it.

GOOD. That means we'll be surprised.

I was not offended. I don't care about making my stuff public, I don't care about any criticism and I respect all opinions, except the ones about my dear mom. But I believe that if you want to show your opinon, it's polite to explain it. I think that's why these formuns were made, so we can have a place to say our opinions without getting punched or kicked. I like happy endings, thats it. I told you why. If someone else disagree, just tell us why.
By the way, here's the game's title, abbreviated: 6DAS.
Allright, that's good news. If he has the name, then he has the complete story. Now we may call the series just XDAS. But he says we're not the slightest bit correct, so I'm gonna have to write another basis idea
What's the 'S'? Let me see: salt, salesman, soup, soda, snooker, sucker, Sonia Braga, senator...
Humm, maybe it's 6 Days a Senator. You are elected, and 6 days later, you get killed.

Yes, as I said, I was unaware of the existence of a newer page in the thread when I posted and I had thought you'd called me a freak because I told you my opinion, not because you disagreed with me on XDAS having a pinky hug-hug happy ending. I don't know which point of my post you considered impolite, as I wasn't trying to offend you, but I'm not one to euphemise, either. The story you came up with was interesting, and I respect the work you'd put into it, it's just that it's too early to write fan-fiction at the point when the real thing's not over.
EDIT: By the way, do you guys remember the ending of the first Matrix film? It was incomplete in my opinion, but it was good as it was. And yes, I know it had sequels, I wish it hadn't, the point I'm trying to make is that if no sequel would ever have been done, everyone would've still been satisfied with it.

I think it might be 'Suspect'. That would tie in with my defecting-from-the-Order guess at the storyline. And I know you said we're not the slightest bit correct in our guesses so far and I don't care because I think you're lying in order to remain all cool and aloof, hardy ha.

That background made us think that the next game will be futuristic. But (now) I think the next game will be immediately after TN. Trilby has idol but he doesn't know what to do with it. Then he reads a newspaper and realizes that the americans will send a rocket to space in 6 days. He gets the idol and takes it to the NASA headquarters. And then, bad things happen.
That background was actually a room of the NASA HQ. Or maybe it's not NASA but the Russian Space Station. Or the Barreira do Inferno, the Brazilian Space Base, who knows
The problem is that the Tall Man won't be there. He only appears on 28 july, right?
And we must remember that, according to the notepaper in 7DAS, the rocket was sent in september. That explains why so much lacks of update in FR.com: Yaz is working day and night to finish the game before october!

Whatever happens, i am confident it'll be another gem of a game. Games that are made because the creators want to make a great game, (in yahtzee's case) are often truely enjoyable games to play, whereas games that are made to make oodles of money and make the creators rich, are often shit. Yahtzee's enthusiam to make games that people actually like is what makes them so great, and the reason why i will always be coming back for more, no matter what new graphics engines come out, what new special effects the latest games have, what celebrity voice actors they throw in. All in all, im sure whatever is decided for the next game, im sure itll be ace
as far as the background used for his little tutorial is concerned, he probably just made a random backdrop and decided to show it so he could read the 100s of posts speculating its uses just for a laugh, and has no intention of actually using it... who knows?
