Clones Seem To Be Better Fighters Than Stormtroopers Even though they're the same underneath the differing armor

Look at the Admirals, Commanders, Generals, and Captains, none of them are clones. But wait, George Lucas might "fix" that soon enough.... (sigh)

They may have opted to take anyone in who had a pulse, and that was their only criteria. Of course, considering the level of (non) tactics the Empire was really capable of, perhaps they HAD to take the real dummies to serve as cannon fodder, trying to engage the rebels in a battle of numbers.
The Empire had the numbers, but the rebels had the brains and superior tactics.

They aren't neccesarily on growth acceleration, it may be maturity acceleration. I've done some minor research on the way the body and mind mature for a SF story, and it's quite possible (in a SF universe, not the real world) to make someone grow to maturity faster without making them continue to age. In theory, such a person would have a slightly shorter lifespan, since they'd lose the superior regenerative processes children have faster, but that's mostly irrelevant to cloned soldiers. One would assume the clones are designed for longevity at the stage of life most suitable for combat, so I'd assume they'd last at least 30 years.
I say assume, because it is Star Wars. For all I know, the clones die after they've lived 12 parsecs...

"Everything's fine. How are things with you?" doesn't quite sound like Imperial Protocol.

They must have been drafted. Can't imagine who would sign up for that.
Annd... Did you realize that: sixty-six stands for "sithy-sith"? Jango had a lisp.
