And... er, yeah. I just had a look at the bottom left of that other poster. I'm assuming that's supposed to be Luke running away from an AT-AT on a tauntaun... if that even is a taun taun. Maybe it's a collage of concept art perhaps but it's pretty damn weird.

That's very similar to an early McQuarrie concept drawing. Don't think it was supposed to be Luke, just a rebel soldier during the battle. The TaunTaun in that version seems to be a carnivore.

A small figure gallops across the windswept ice slope. The
bundled rider is mounted on a large gray snow lizard[u], a
Tauntaun. Curving plumes of snow rise from beneath the
speeding paws of the two-legged beast.
The rider gallops up a slope and reins his lizard to a
stop.

Taun Taun... Jar Jar... Lucas is more like Hughes than we know, constantly repeating himself...

WHHAAAAAAAAA!!!!????
Are you $#^#$ing kidding me!!???
I knew KJA was bad, but I didn't realize THAT bad! Do you get the feeling that KJA might have been an uncredited writer of TPM? I've had this feeling for some time, but sometimes it seems like his fingerprints are all over it... or at least Lucas looked at his shit rather going back to the original films for "reference?"

Dear God, it's even worse than I had imagined.
However, if you think that's bad, just take a look at the books by Paul Davids. Actually, I see the point Chefelf's making in that thread: it does sound like a parody. The problem with that is that because Lucas can't be bothered to check over all the crap these hack writers are spewing out, all this stuff technically counts as official canon. Is it any wonder so many people just ignore Lucasfilms and pick and choose their own 'canon' as they like it?
