SPOILERS Warning!!
I've got into an argument with a friend, I say that Jesus was implied as a normal man (not divine) he says nothing in the movie say that Jesus was not divine (as in son of God).
What is your opinion?
(the argument is just about the movie, in the book it's quite obvious implied that Jesus was a normal man)

QUOTE (Despondent @ Jun 14 2006, 02:28 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
From what I heard, at the moment of the big reveal, the audience was laughing.
I've read the book, but what moment is the big reveal?
The terse, gut-busting moment from ROTS is crystal clear. But what about DVC?

In the cinema I was in, nobody laugh at the revelations... then again nobody laught when I saw ROTS, maybe we, portuguese, have less sense of humor

I laughed. I laughed because they were playing it up like I was supposed to be shocked, but I could have seen it coming from the next cinema. The moment, I think, was the girl being descended from Jesus.

Yea, I thought that part was kind of funny, but no one in my theatre laughed either. Just how he worded it was kind of funny. "YOU... are-the-descendant-of-Jesus-Christ!!!"
I'm not sure if Jesus was considered divine in the movie. I think he was, in some way or another, as they didn't deny he was the son of God, right? I think the whole controversy for this film was that Mary was his wife?
