The new Star Wars TV Series Now I'm scared again

The new Star War tv Series will go ahead
besides the interesting point Mr. McCallum says about being over 100 episodes, the point I'm scared is about "It would cover the 20 years in the life of Luke Skywalker growing up". After destroying Vader, now they go after Luke showing his childhood? what are they going to show? a whinny kid like the guy who did vader at 9?
why does it have to cover between Episode 3 and 4? so that Lucas can make more special editions of the OT to accommodate the changes due to the tv series? Why can he do a series 1000 years before EP4 or 1000 years after so there is no contradictions?
well, who cares anyway, we all know what the Lucas-McCallum pair can do to ruin a story.
and doing 100 episodes, unless they came up with something original, my guess is that they will shutdown it well before 100

TV shows can run one season now and still make money. It's crazy.

I'm hoping for an episode featuring (Boba + Jango) Bongo Fett, a kewl clone mutation and also the black sheep of the Fett family. Also, I'd like to see extended performances by the Max Rebo Band as they rule the Far Away Galaxys Top Ten with "Jedi Rocks", only to later become a washed out sideshow act in Jabbas palace. I'd like to see the blue hottie Jedi faking her death on Felucia to provide that crucial/obligatory T&A for the TV series. I'm also hoping that *all* artoo units are outfitted with rockets enabling them to fly, with lasers on their heads! Most important of all though, all characters in the TV series should be friends with or related to people in the movies.
Chef should really make a wishlist for the TV series...

And if all the Jedi are dead it's going to be super boring to see what happens in the galaxy without anything political going on or any Jedi.

So I think there is potential , but it'll probably still be crap.
There will be Jedi, obviously. They're gonna have to include some, wouldn't *sell* otherwise.

And yes, I'd be prepared to bet large sums of money that Boba Fett will be involved in it somehow.

How do you know that?

Stuff happens, but not to Luke. His life is portrayed as boring and uneventful in all the materials created thus far. So it would introduce a contradiction to them, and especially the movies if he suddenly has out having adventures before ANH. The only thing noteworthy is that he (it's implied as "recently" as of ANH) almost got killed in some crazy skyhopper race through Beggar's Canyon with his buddies.
Focusing exclusively on Luke's early life would be incredibly boring. If you made 100 episodes about it, you'd be focusing on the boringness of the moisture farm as he's a little baby crawling around. Ugh. A series that was to be interesting and not introduce contradictions would need to focus on the Empire's consolidating their power (though most of this is already done, and the Rebellion doesn't really start until Luke is grown up anyway, check the opening crawl of ANH! Remember those "foundation of the Rebellion" deleted scenes in ROTS are misnamed... that is the loyalist communittee of the 2000, a movement to check Palpatine's power, not a rebellion against the Empire).
The recent statement about the life of Luke flies in the face of what we'd previously heard about the TV series, in that it would have NO MAJOR CHARACTERS. So even if it focused on the consolidation of Imperial power, I doubt we'd see Vader running around blowing people up in the suit. Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan, Vader, the Emperor and the droids are all major characters.
So hopefully this is just misinformation. To a dark place this line of thinking will take us...

nothing happens... how do we know that?
because luke says so; "if there's a bright center to the universe your on the planet it's farthest from."
these are not the words of a dude who had 100 adventures....
and i'll bet 10 fucking dollars that he ends up using force powers in the show too... only like everything else he'll forget by the time R2D2 and C3P0 show up... those droids must have some fucked up radioactive coils that erase everyones memories...
the only way this show will work is if it's like 'bottom' with luke and biggs... but on a farm.
