So I watched the 3hr miniseries last night. Holy frak it was awesome! I didn’t realize Baltar was such a selfish prick. I always wondered why he was really sketchy all the time, I didn’t know he was directly responsible for the destruction of the human race. What a bastard. I kinda liked his character before, but now I’m just really upset with him. And why cant all the Sixs’ wear that red dress all the time?
Well, the miniseries explained a lot for me. Anybody else seen it?

Ok. After watching about 6 more episodes since the miniseries, I have come to remember why at one time I liked Baltar.
Question: in the miniseries, chief hands Adama a photograph which I originally assumed was Adama, Lee and Starbuck, since it looked like a young boy and a young blond girl. But later on we learn that Adama has only known Starbuck for 2 years.
In the miniseries, Col Tigh says something to Adama along the lines of ‘you always did have a soft spot for that girl’ or something like that.
Later on, during the episode where we learn Adama has only known Starbuck since the death of his son Zak, 2 years ago, that Adama ‘loves her like a daughter.’ 2 years hardly seems like enough time to build up a relationship like that, especially since they have been on the galactica working and training during that time.
So, my question is: did the writers originally intend for Lee and Kara to be childhood friends, and changed it later in the series hoping the inconsistency would go unnoticed? Or… or what?

Firstly: It has been my impression that Kara and Zak were engaged/dating and that their relationship was such that when Zak died, the Old Man felt a connection with/compassion for her, and this connection was solidified by the fact that both felt some guilt for Zak's death (Adama because he knew that Lee blamed him; Kara because she blamed herself.). The Photo was of Adama and his sons, while the photo in Starbuck's locker is of her and Zak, with Lee who (depending on circumstances) is sometimes folded out of the picture.
Secondly: I read in Game Informer that there is talk about a Battlestar RPG based on the new series. Thoughts?

"The problem is, you're not a kangaroo... that's a bear... and he's in your pants."
"Maybe artists shouldn't talk about their art."
"Well kids, I guess your father isn't a hermaphrodite."
"Izzy! enough with the rabid smootching!!"

I know that you believe you understood what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant.
